We have lots of kittens available for adoption and looking for homes! Better yet, adopt a pair! Kittens are notorious for being mischievous and crazy but when they have a buddy to wrestle with it actually makes it way easier. I had also seen firsthand how much of a positive impact having a kitten friend makes for them. Less bitey, less crazy, less shy.

ADOPT MR. TOAD ✨ This is a dude with lots of personality. He’ll ham it up for Churu treats and be the first one to greet you at the door, but once he’s over it he’ll slap you around and show you who is boss. Then go back to head bopping and jumping on your lap for cuddles. He’s such a funny character- tough guy meets mushy little baby.

For the right home he will be the best kitty, adding so much entertainment and love. Come meet him and 25 other cats at our lounge and consider opening up your home to a little meow meow. If we all just added in one more cat, we could make a huge difference in the lives of thousands of deserving animals.

KITTEN SEASON 💔 Every rescues’ least favorite time of the year despite the cute name.

Our lounge manager Jewel is fostering a litter from the high-kill SEAACA shelter in Downey, and 2/5 have already passed away. Sadly up to 75% of kittens born on the streets do not survive to reach 6 months of age so we see this kind of devastating loss time and time again. Isn’t that an INSANE statistic? TNR Spay & Neuter is the best way to prevent this kind of needless suffering.

We lost Sassy tonight after rushing her to the emergency vet. She was experiencing labored breathing and they found significant fluid in her lungs that was too severe to treat.

If you would like to contribute it would mean the world. It came to $384 for Sassy’s bill 🥺

SPONSORS NEEDED 🐾 Save the Meow Meows is a super small dedicated team. We have no big financial backing or municipal funds, we’re just animal lovers with a crazy amount of compassion and drive to help. We rely on the support of other animal lovers like yourself to be able to do what we do.

PLEASE SOMEONE ADOPT KEITH 🥺 Keith is our longest resident at the cat lounge having been in our care since March 2025. He has become a bit of an icon because he’s always causing mischief but also has a lot of sweet and silly moments too.

Keith originally came from a hoarding situation so he isn’t a fan of being touched but he loves to play, will go crazy for Churu treats and is just a funny dude. But we are hoping he finds a home soon because we think he would be SO much happier.

We offer foster to adopt as well, if you ever want to test out compatibility with any pets at home or do a trial adoption. Or if you can’t, please share this post and help our buddy Keith out.

TOOTH FAIRY UPDATE 🦷 It’s been two weeks since both Eeyore and Duchess were able to get their 22 teeth extracted and were happy to report they are both doing great!

Duchess is even allowing people to pet her which is great improvement compared to her previous grumpy temperament (probably from being in pain 🥺)

So to all our little tooth fairy’s who donated and sponsored a tooth removal, THANK YOU! Seriously I mean it when I say we cannot do this work without our supporters.

They are both back in the cat lounge gen pop and are available for visits or adoption. So if you’re local come stop by and give them some gentle love for these two adorable shy goobers.
