After many years, it’s time to close the doors on BayouQ Canine. I truly appreciate every single person that trusted me with their dogs and supported me throughout this journey. 🐾

Unfortunately, the dog training industry around here has changed a lot. Between trainers undercutting prices, poor-quality training becoming more common, and owners expecting long-term results without staying consistent at home, I’m no longer willing to sacrifice my reputation or lower my standards.

If anyone needs a good trainer, message me privately and I’ll gladly point you toward someone I trust.

Moving forward, I’ll be focusing full-time on my food business and the next chapter of life. Thank y’all again for all the love and support over the years. 💜

13 week old Nipsey working on IMPULSE CONTROL during feeding time 👇

Most people put the bowl down and walk away… but feeding time is actually one of the BEST daily training opportunities you get with your dog.

Before eating:
✔ Sit on command
✔ Wait calmly
✔ Permission to start

During eating:
✔ Pause when asked
✔ Return to sit
✔ Wait for release (“YES”) before continuing

This teaches patience, focus, and self-control — not just obedience.

Training isn’t just something you do for 10 minutes a day… it happens in everyday moments like feeding, walking, and playtime.

If your puppy goes crazy at feeding time, this is a great place to start building structure.
