Got the call today for Franklin the Saint Bernard 🐾

He’d been missing since yesterday, but thanks to the community stepping up and reporting a sighting, we were able to get eyes on him. At first, Frank thought it was all just a big game… until mom showed up ā¤ļø

He got out in Burghill, Ohio and made his way all the way to Sharpsville, Pennsylvania.

This is exactly why community matters.

Thank you for trusting Ohio Drone Animal Rescue we’re always ready to help bring them home.

Sadie is home after being on the run for over 24 hours! Last night we drove out to milford to look for a missing c**n hound Sadie. As the evening before a loud noise spooked her and she ran off. We got there at sunset and put the drone to work. It was a harder search but we were still seeing pretty good but after a couple hours into the search and still no Sadie we were losing hope. We had to make a move to cover an area better and on the 5th battery we finally found that heat signature we were looking for! We sent dad in to get Sadie and on the first attempt she wasn't having it. But the 2nd attempt we were in a better position and it all came together. When Sadie seen her dad she came running across a field about 50 yards and was so happy to finally see her family. There truly isn't nothing better then reuniting someone with their lost pet. I'm truly obsessed with it.

Got a call for a missing baby calf that had just been brought home missing since Saturday.

First deployment, no luck. Put in a couple hours and regrouped.

Second round… not even 27 seconds into the flight, we located the calf.

Currently coordinating the recovery and getting it safely back. That’s how fast things can turn.

First call last night was a Dachshund named Whiskey. Got out about 2 hours before we arrived.

Picked him up on thermal during the second set of batteries and sent the search party in… but once they moved in, they bumped him.

Watched him take off and run all the way back home while we kept eyes on him the entire time.

Man… those little dogs can MOVE.

Last night we were fortunate enough to find Odin. Odin was on a walk at Eden Park when something spooked him and the leash broke. Everyone tried hard to find him driving and looking everywhere but decided it was time to bring us in. We found Odin on the first battery on a mountain side that had tall fencing everywhere so this made it extremely hard to get to him. To top things off Odin is a skittish dog who lived a rough life before he found this awesome family. Our first few attempts were unsuccessful he was nervous but never would run so I knew we could get him just needed to get him in the right spot. After about hour and a half of trying that spot came. Odin finely came out of the woods where it was easy to get to him. Let me tell you what once he finally realized it was mom that little tail and butt of his was going nuts. He was so excited to finally be found by his family. Late night but worth every second.

Other morning we were able to find Cooper a skittish pup. She got away from her owners while at the park when a loud bang happened. After about 1 hour or so of search we were able to locate him in the woods sleeping against a fence. Cooper had swam across a huge creek which is why the owners couldn't find him. Thanks to the thermal drones he's home where he belongs.

Ollie a newly adopted pup got way from his new owners when he got home. Scared and not knowing anyone the only option was to find him with the drones and setup traps. To make things harder Ollie was found along the highway so we had to proceed with extreme precaution. It took 3 days off finding him and moving traps but we were finally able to trap him. Ollie doesn't know it yet but life is about to be much better for him

WINDY RESCUE!
Charlie had been out for over 24 hours and when we found him he was just running scared through the woods. We have never seen a dog running in such a panic for so long...assuming from the loud 50mph winds ripping through the trees. The odds were very low that we could get him to his human but had to give it a shot. We got mom and bonded dog buddy (Bandit) on a trail that we had seen him cross a few times and sat them down. He came across them shortly after and showed interest but would get close then take off... but he would circle back. After about 15 minutes of this and being close enough that he could hear his mom talking to us and giving Bandit love and praises he decided he needed some momma love too!
Welcome Home Charlie!

Kobe, a friendly family dog, slipped away from his pet sitter and disappeared. His owners searched for hours, calling his name and driving the streets where he was being seen but was always 2 steps behind him. As the hours turned into more than 30 long, stressful hours, hope started to fade.
That’s when we launched the drone to search from the air. In under three minutes, we picked up Kobe’s heat signature tucked away in a brushy area where he couldn’t easily be seen from the ground. The team moved in quickly, guided by the drone’s location.
Just 10 minutes later, Kobe was safely back with his family tired, a little dirty, but wagging his tail and happy to be home. What felt like a hopeless situation turned into a happy ending thanks to the power of drone technology. 🐾🚁

Last night we had another job on a cat named Snuggles. Snuggles got out 4 nights prior and with no luck of finding they wanted to give us a try. We got started about 920pm by 940pm Snuggles was found and home. Like true cat fashion she was 2 houses down just hanging out. Our first attempt of getting her back was no luck. So we got different treats and some wet food and she loved that. After a couple minutes she came to mom and was snatched up and home where she belongs. It was a great night for us. These are the night's we love.
