Update: With this type of fracture the vet was able to splint it and let it will heal on its own. The vet said Chihuahuas are known for non healing fractures because they don’t get enough blood supply to the area since they have such tiny bodies and legs. In 6 weeks if there isn’t enough blood supply to the leg they will have to amputate . The total bill for today is $450. If anyone can help with this I have Venmo, cash app, PayPal, and Apple Pay. I’ll post a picture of the bill when I go in later today to pay it.

This is one of my foster dogs and she broke her leg this morning playing with the lady who is fostering her for me. I got her into Tieton Drive Animal Clinic, I don’t know how much the bill will be but I’ve asked them to do what they have to for now to make her comfortable, any donations would be greatly appreciated!! Her name is Tinkerbell and the account is under my name, unfortunately they said they can’t take payments over the phone and donations would have ti he made in person 😕 or the money would have ti he sent to me and I can send pictures of the bill and payment. So far we are at $105 for an emergency visit, $110 for X-rays, and they gave her pain meds and sedation to make her more comfortable and I’m waiting for a call back to find out how much that was. Very small fluffy black and white dog running down 42nd then turned right (west) on Chestnut. I tried to get it to come to me but it took off.

Anyone recognize this doggie? Was found around Red Lion on Yakima Ave, no collar, pretty dirty, and followed my client around all night and today. She is hanging on to him/her for now.

With fireworks already starting you might consider something like this, these have worked well for my dogs and foster dogs 🙂

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE keep
Your dogs INSIDE on Tuesday!!! Even starting now because I’ve already heard fireworks since yesterday. ESPECIALLY if they are too young to have ever experienced fireworks or even if they are older but you have not had them long enough to have experienced fireworks with them. EVEN IF TOU HAVE A FENCED YARD AND EVEN IF THEY ARE TIED UP!! You wouldn’t believe the amount of posts we see every Fourth of July and New Years Eve about dogs who were tied or chained up and broke the rope or wriggled out of their collar and even some that have jumped or broken through fences because they are so terrified of the noise. All of us local rescuers are already overwhelmed with the amount of dumped, lost, and stray animals roaming around, but twice a year, every year, we see people posting that their dogs took off because they were scared of the fireworks. Even posts where they just let them out to potty and they took off so take them out on a leash if you aren’t sure!! Last New Years Eve I had the owner of a dog in my car when we saw her running down Washington and even though the owner was calling her name and the dog looked right at her, she kept on running because she had been out over 24 hours and was terrified. We are so lucky she ran into a business lot and we were able to turn around, pull in, and shut the gates and she got cornered inside the building. Dogs have such a high chance of being hit by a car when they are running aimlessly to get away from a noise that is coming from all directions, please keep your dogs inside!!!
