When the adjustment is so good you fall asleep ❤️. She had been a little bit moody at first, and then at the end sacked out when all the good feels hit her 😊. Posted with owner permission. (Ears are turned out just due to construction noise outside.)

When I tell people I meet that I do animal chiropractic, I often hear "how do you do that?". Animal chiropractic is very gentle and often relaxes the nervous system. It probably looks different than you think; when adjusting the little animals, the movements are very subtle and similar to how a human newborn baby is adjusted. It is not unusual for my patients to go to sleep while I'm working on them. I go slowly so they can take the time to relax. Helen, the Aussie here, is sleeping with her adjustment. Tansy, the chihuahua here, wasn't so sure about me at first but soon decided she liked me adjusting her. Mr. Fatty, the cat here, gave many "eye kisses" during his adjustments. "Eye kisses" are my new favorite name for the happy squints that cats give; coined by his owner :) All pictures posted with client permissions.

Last module for 2024 Parker University Animal Chiropractic Program! Here is the next generation of animal chiropractic providers. Next stop is their American Veterinary Chiropractic Association exam. It was such a joy to teach this year and looking forward to next year! I didn’t get pictures with everyone I wanted. But here are some 🙂

Remember - animal chiropractic is a joint program for both chiropractors for humans (DCs) and veterinarians (DVMs). It takes us both learning from each other to give the best chiropractic care to your pet.

Be patient with those brachial plexus avulsion injuries (injured group of nerves supplying the forelimb causing nerve damage and loss of function). They can take many months to heal. Some animals do not recover function of the limb, but some do - like Buford here! The limb may or may not ever be completely normal, but it is functional and that’s what we want. These injuries can be so discouraging for several months not seeing much visible progress, but press on and you may see recovery. The first part of the video is Buford 1 month post injury and on his first chiropractic adjustment day, and the second part of the video is Buford 7 months post injury. Videos shared with client permission.
Recommended modalities to help the body heal include: chiropractic, laser, acupuncture, and herbal therapies.

Another animal chiropractic training module in the books! Love these fun weekends of teaching and of fellowshipping with great friends and colleagues. Tired and hot, but a good kind of tired. ❤️

Remember - animal chiropractic is a joint program for both Doctors of Chiropractic (DCs, chiropractors) and Doctors of Veterinary Medicine (DVMs, vets). It takes us both learning from each other to give the best animal chiropractic service to your pet.
