Someone is ✨excelling✨at pre-release!

He’s got the sniffing for snacks down and the classic opossum scream! He’s almost ready 🤭

Let’s goooo Team USA! 🇺🇸

Who else is going to be watching the game tonight? We’re hoping they make it to our neck of the woods during the semifinals! We’ve got all our fingers and toes crossed 🤞 (and yes, we can say that because as possums we have fingers and toes! Haha)

Arnoldillo’s first outdoor adventure! 🎉

We’re still getting his pre-release center set up, so in the meantime we will be giving him outdoor enrichment time to start getting the feel of the dirt beneath his feet and the mud up his nostrils. He found a few worms during this outing and showed how much of a natural digger he is!

Sidenote- did anyone else notice him just get progressively more and more dirty? 🤣

Someone is enjoying pre-release 🤭

And we enjoy seeing them do ‘wild’ things successfully! Climbing seems to be a popular activity once they make it to prerelease. Naturally they are quite good climbers, but it’s still always nice seeing them succeed at it and enjoying the fresh air and new sense of (some) freedom ❤️

Circling back to our emoji challenge with this new intake 👶🤘

As it turns out, there is not a Mohawk emoji. But let’s just take a moment to appreciate his fancy hair do 😉

Thing 1 and Thing 2 waking up and getting ready for play time and dinner! Right as we were turning off the lights, these two came out and started eating and eyeing their wheel 😊

We are looking for a few extra people to help Saturday morning with clean up and getting pre release cages ready outside. Also pulling indoor cages out and cleaning underneath. If you would like to give us a hand please text me and let me know. 678-327-1113

* Please text rather than commenting on this post. I will receive texts much faster.

Picture for cuteness 🥰

Raise your hand in the comments if you think an opossum nose emoji needs to be added ASAP 🙋🏻‍♀️🙌 Just an opossum emoji in general is long overdue 😂

When cleaning cages last night, I caught a little glimpse out of the corner of my eye of something pink and shiny. Welp, check out the sniffer on this little one! 🐽👈 The urge to boop……..

This little Opossum’s first kale chip! We heard lots and lots of crunching when passing the homemade chips around the rescue!

Safe to say he enjoyed it. If you’re wondering what the head motion is that he starts doing- that’s called slubbing (in this case, more of a mini-slub or micro-slub lol). Slubbing is generally done when they enjoy or like something. We’ll be doing a fun fact video on slubbing soon 😊😊😊
