Nine months ago, Daisy disappeared in Blue Ridge.

A tiny microchip finally brought her home. 🥹🐾

Her family searched everywhere.

They hired thermal drones and professional trappers, shared posts across Blue Ridge, and followed every possible sighting.

Then the sightings stopped.

But Daisy was still out there.

For the past two weeks, Animal Control and The Rescue House had been working to safely catch a scared, cautious dog who had been hanging around the Hyden Tyler Recreation Center.

Last night, they finally got her.

Then they scanned her for a microchip.

And there it was!!

Daisy.

Her family had been searching for her for nine months.

They live more than 150 miles away.

That phone call to her Mom, Brenda was filled with tears.

Because Daisy is finally going home.

And the toys she left behind nine months ago are still waiting for her.

I talked with Lauren from The Rescue House, and the care and love she has for this dog is so clear.

She and everyone involved refused to give up on Daisy.

That tiny microchip made this reunion possible.
