Meet Tulip. She came with her sister from the Stockton Shelter, where she was on the kill list. Her time had run out, and because a foster stepped up we pulled her to save her life. Tulip is scheduled for spay, additional vaccinations, and microchip on 6/25. After that, she will be ready to find a new family of her own.

Here's what her brief foster has to say about her so far: Tulip (formerly Stump) is a 14-month-old cattle dog mix. She has been good with our children (ages 2-7) and responds well to commands. She loves to chase balls, swim, and run. She needs space. So far, Tulip is fine with other dogs, but no cats and no livestock are recommended for this girl.

Here’s what her brief foster had to say about her…Maggie (root) 14 month old cattle dog mix. She so far has been good with our children (ages 2-7) and respond well to commands. She is a big lap dog (will literally get in your lap if you sit down) and is less interested in chasing/playing, more interested in loves. She would do best without other dogs, cats or livestock.

Meet Apache!

Apache is a 2-year-old Australian Shepherd/Maremma border collie mix weighing about 80 pounds. He is a gentle giant with a heart of gold and has never met a stranger. Apache is wonderful with dogs, cats, and children, making him an easy fit for many families.

He’s a sweet, affectionate boy who loves being with his people and has a calm, easygoing personality. Despite being partially deaf, Apache navigates life beautifully and doesn’t let it slow him down. He is eager to please, enjoys companionship, and is happiest when included in family activities. He’s 50% couch potato / 50 % loves goin on walks playing outside but not a ton of energy compared to my other two herding dogs.

Apache is looking for a loving home where he can continue being the loyal, gentle companion he was born to be. If you’re searching for a kind, family-friendly dog with a sweet disposition, Apache may be your perfect match.

Meet Winnie.

Winnie is a two year old Aussie mix. She is great with all people including my son who's 10 and his friends. Winnie does the huge Aussie smile all the time and loves to be around people no matter what they're doing. She's super energetic and would do well with an active family/person. She will thrive with a lot of space and exercise. Winnie weighs 41 lbs. She had all her updated vaccinations on May 4th. She is spayed, potty trained, crate trained and overall great. I just have very stubborn English bulldogs that I thought I could integrate her with but they are not negotiable. The current owner was told that Winnie does not get along with cats.

Meet Athena!

Athena is a purebred Siberian Husky, 5 years and 2 months old, with a black and white coat and uniquely two different colored eyes. She has the classic husky personality. She is smart, very energetic, and full of life. She loves to “talk” (as huskies do!) and will happily chat with you. She enjoys playing fetch, being active, and exploring the outdoors.

Athena is very food motivated which makes her eager to learn and a great candidate for continued training. She absolutely loves treats and responds well to positive reinforcement.

Athena enjoys playing with other dogs and can get along well with them. She has been around cats but can play a little rough, so a home without cats or with careful supervision, would be best.

Athena is kennel trained and potty trained. She can sit, lie down, and show you paw. Athena loves going for walks although she tends to pull a bit so would benefit from a Gentle Leader halter.

Like most huskies, athena thrives with structure, consistency, and plenty of physical and mental exercise. A home familiar with the breed and able to meet her energy needs would be ideal.

Athena forms strong bonds with her people and has so much love to give. Her current owner has struggled with the decision to find her a new home which hasn’t been easy. The ultimate goal is to find Athena a home where she can thrive and be happy.

Athena is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and on flea/tick and heartworm preventative. So, if you’re looking for an energetic, vocal, playful, and intelligent companion, Athena could be the perfect match for you.

Meet Panda! This Aussie boy is already neutered. He is updated on vaccines and the owner is scheduled to take him to vet in 2 days too. Panda is also crate trained, and potty trained.

The owner's family originally got Panda and wanted to find him a new home but the owner (son) kept him because he loves Panda like family. Now he has to move out of his apartment and doesn't have family help while working two jobs. The owner doesn't want his dog sitting in the house for that many hours alone and is potentially joining the military in future. He loves Panda but doesn't want him left home alone and is seeking a loving family for him.

The owner feels that the best type of home for Panda would be with people that love going outside or like playing with their dogs. He doesn’t do well with cats but is very friendly to people and other dogs and more toy driven than anything else.

Panda is currently 3 years old...just had a birthday on April 20! He's a bigger boy, weighing in at about 70lbs. He wants to play with toys all the time. There is no break for him unless you ignore playing which in that case he will calm down and just want to lay down next to you. He loves going outside also and going for any walks or almost any other outside activities.
