Just look how happy she is to get out of the shelter environment. She had been there about a month after being found as an injured stray.
Emma is a SUPER sweet girl. She is so friendly and just wants to be loved on. She has been very calm mannered so far.

🎶 The world was moving… we were never meant to stay. 🎶

Well, Moochie’s world kept moving.

She’s been waiting. Watching other dogs find their people. Watching life happen around her. And maybe somewhere along the way, she started wondering if her person was ever coming. 💔

But Moochie has never stopped giving what she has. ❤️

She gives her whole heart.
She gives you her goofy, one-of-a-kind personality.
She gives you walks once she knows she can trust you.
She gives you toy time, companionship, and a whole lot of love.

She’s about 3 years old, a 45-ish pound pit mix, and the perfect medium-sized package of “I have a personality, and you’re going to love it.” 😂🐾

Maybe she wasn’t meant to stay here.

Maybe she was meant to move forward… with you. 🤍

Moochie is still waiting for the person who will look at her and say,
“I guess I thought if I gave you what I had… it would work.”

Maybe this time, it will. 🥹🐾

🐾 FROM SHELTER DOG TO FOREVER FAMILY! 🐾

Remember Apollo? ❤️

Apollo came to the Wise Co VA Animal Shelter in January of this year. In February, he was lucky enough to leave the shelter and head into a foster home, where he waited patiently for someone to see just how special he truly was.

Seven months of waiting. Seven months of hoping. Seven months of being loved by his foster family.

And then came the Cox family. 🥹❤️

The moment Apollo met them, it was love at first sight. And now, just a few days into his new life, his family has already been bragging about how wonderfully he is doing!

They even said, “We just can’t understand why no one would want him.” 😭❤️

Well, Cox family… we can. Sometimes the right family just takes a little time to find their way to the right dog.

And Apollo? He finally found his people. 🏡🐾

After spending months waiting for his chance, Apollo is officially home. Forever home.

We couldn’t be happier for this sweet boy and his new family. May this next chapter be everything Apollo has been waiting for. ❤️

🌟 TUESDAY SPOTLIGHT: SPOTACUS! 🌟

Okay, but seriously… have you seen this handsome boy?! 😍

Meet Spotacus — a friendly, fun-loving guy who is about 1½ years old and the perfect 45–50 lb size. And yes… we’re pretty sure Spot missed his calling as the Target dog! 😂🎯🐶

Spotacus has so much going for him:

🐾 Great with other dogs
🐾 Crate trained
🐾 Totally vetted
🐾 Perfect medium size
🐾 READY TO GO!

Spot started his journey at the shelter and was lucky enough to make his way into a foster home. Now he’s ready for the part we’ve all been waiting for — his forever family. ❤️

He doesn’t need much. Just someone who is ready to open their home, give him a comfy bed, some love, and a lifetime of being part of the family.

From shelter ➡️ foster ➡️ FOREVER HOME. 🏡❤️

Spotacus is ready for his next chapter.

The only question is… who is ready to make him part of theirs? 🥹🐾

🐾 Meet Ash! 🐾

Ash is a handsome 2-year-old Lab mix who has been waiting far too long for his happily ever after. 💙

Ash was found as a stray back in January 2026, and luckily, he was given the chance to leave the shelter and go into a foster home. But we have to ask…

Who in the world wouldn’t come looking for this handsome boy?! 😍

We don’t get it either.

Ash is good with other dogs, enjoys going for walks, and is just waiting for someone to realize what an amazing companion he could be. He deserves a family of his own — not to spend months waiting for someone to choose him.

And there’s another part of Ash’s story that we hope people will think about…

When a dog stays with their foster family for a long time, that foster home remains occupied. ❤️

That means those wonderful fosters can’t open their home to another shelter dog who desperately needs out.

Foster homes are the bridge between shelter life and forever homes. When that bridge stays occupied for months and months, another dog may be left waiting.

So let’s find Ash his forever family and free up his foster home to help the next dog who needs a chance. 🐾

Ash has already waited since January. How much longer should he have to wait?

🐾 THURSDAY THOUGHTS: MOOCHIE NEEDS HER FOREVER PERSON 💕

This sweet girl is Moochie, and we’d really love to change her story. 🥺❤️

Moochie originally came from a terrible situation, but thankfully, she landed in a foster home where she has been surrounded by love, patience, and care. She’s had the chance to heal, learn, and truly start thriving—and now she’s ready for the part we’ve all been waiting for: her forever home. 🏡

Moochie is approximately 2–3 years old, already spayed, and up to date on all of her vaccines. She loves going for walks, playing with her toys, and being part of the action. 🧸🐾

What Moochie would really love is a home with someone who is home most of the time. She has come so far, and we believe having her person around to help her continue feeling safe and loved would make all the difference.

We don’t even need 10.

Can we get just ONE? 🙏

One person to see Moochie.

One person to realize that this girl might just be the missing piece to their family.
