Sequoia is improving with being aware of her hind end, making progress on a left side heel. It’s been a little tough breaking her habit of only going to the right side but Rally requires a left side heel so we’re working on it. She’s always so fun to work with, such a quick learner!

I don’t always groom other people’s dogs but when I do I thoroughly enjoy it! Wallen’s groomer cancelled on him twice and he was getting very matted in some places. I’m dogsitting him this weekend and asked his mom if she would like me to groom him and she said yes! So he’s got a fresh new trim for the holiday ☺️

Sequoia is learning how to move her feet and pivot so she can get a tighter heel.

Yesterday we worked on teaching crawl to Sequoia. She’s finally getting the hang of keeping her body low to the ground, but we aren’t there yet!

Luna’s first session today! We’re working on leash reactivity and fear aggression towards humans (she’s never hurt anyone, just showing warning signs)

The first 5-10 min she was definitely having some feelings but she responds excellently to treats and leash pressure so I have high hopes. She might never like strangers but as long as she ignores them we’ve accomplished something!

Her first trainer was never able to touch her or take the leash from her owners successfully and told them there wasn’t anything they could do other than keep socializing her. I think it’s safe to say they missed the mark completely. Next session this weekend!

These two big puppies went home this weekend! I didn’t end up really taking any training videos since they were just here for potty training and that’s more a consistent behavior change than anything else. Their humans will still have their work cut out for them since potty training takes more than 2 weeks but they definitely have the right idea now! We also worked on some recall, crate training, knowing their names, and reinforcing what they already know, sit. Thank you to the parents of Nelly and Melly for trusting me with your pups for the last 2 weeks!

Nellie and I got quite the workout the morning desensitizing her to walking inside. We did like 100 laps going in and out and in and out getting slowly farther and farther into the house. I’m very proud of her. She walks well on the leash and doesn’t panic when I clip it on, she still is definitely fearful and wary but progress is still progress.

We ended our session in the middle of the back yard by unclipping the leash and doing collar grabs while periodically treating. Her mom seems quite happy with her progress too ❤️

These two ding dongs are technically only here for potty training butttttt that would be too little for me. We’re working on recall/name association and crate training reinforcement + some leash manners at least. At 8 months old they definitely ought to know more than sit!
