🌾 We’ll see y’all at the Winnsboro Farmers’ Market this weekend!

After a busy week on the farm, we’re going to take Monday, September 7th off at the Farm Store for Labor Day.

We’re looking forward to a day of family time, a little rest, and maybe catching our breath before we get back to the work of growing produce and stocking shelves. ❤️

Around here, the farm really is a family affair. There’s a whole lot of work that happens behind the scenes, and we couldn’t keep doing it without all of you who continue to show up, shop with us, tell your friends about us, and cheer us on.

We’re incredibly grateful for this little community we get to be part of. Every purchase, every visit, every kind word, and every share truly means the world to our family.

So we’re going to take Monday to slow down, spend some time together, and enjoy a little bit of the life we’re working so hard to build. ❤️

We’ll be back Tuesday morning, and fresh bread will be delivered bright and early! 🥖🌾

Harvest, wash, and pack is DONE! 🙌

And whew… it was HOT out there today! There’s something extra satisfying about finally getting back inside, cooling off, and knowing the hard work of the day is finished.

Tonight’s dinner is going to be a sausage and rice skillet made with some of our favorite local ingredients:

🌱 Fresh vegetables
🐖 Brats from Stout Creek Farm
🌾 Texas-grown rice
🍅 Organic diced tomatoes

A simple skillet, but one that tells a pretty good story about the kind of food we love: good ingredients, raised and grown by people who care, brought together in one delicious meal.

I’ll be sharing the recipe next week, so keep an eye out! 👀

Fresh picked this morning and headed straight for the farm store. 🥒🌱

The garden is showing off right now with fresh cucumbers, yellow squash, zucchini, and okra. Nothing fancy. Just good food, grown here and picked fresh for you.

And then come inside, because the farm store is packed with even more good stuff. ❤️

We pulled fresh ginger root! It’s down at the farm store this morning along with cucumbers, okra, squash, zucchini, bell peppers, jalapeños, loofah, arugula, eggplant, and more all picked fresh today!

What we don’t sell in the store will make its way to the Winnsboro Farmers' Market tomorrow from 8 - Noon.

❄️ **Freezer restock!** ❄️

Stout Creek Farm just brought us a TON of their amazing meats, and I am pretty excited about this one!

Their beef is **grass-fed, grass-finished and no grain, ever.** Their pork is heritage breed and raised in the forest. Their chicken is pasture-raised in chicken tractors, which means they get moved daily to fresh ground. And we have **lamb back in the freezer!** Their lamb is grass-fed and grass-finished.

Seriously, how cool is that?

Brent and Susan move their livestock daily, giving them access to fresh greens while taking care of the land at the same time. They also raise heritage breeds that could disappear without farmers intentionally keeping them in production.

This is the kind of farming we love supporting, and you really can taste the difference.

Come stock up your freezer with meat raised right here in East Texas. Stout Creek doesn't use routine antibiotics or added growth hormones in their livestock, and every purchase supports **their family and ours.**

That's local food at its best. ❤️

🎃 Okay, I need your opinion! I just made something new at New Morning Acres and I'm pretty sure I've got a winner. 😂

Pumpkin Spice Syrup made with local, naturally grown pumpkin. 🎃 Think pumpkin spice lattes, pancakes, waffles, oatmeal… basically everything that deserves a little taste of fall. 🍂☕️

I'm thinking about bottling it in 8-oz glass jars for $9 and keeping it refrigerated. The ingredients are all natural: organic cane sugar, molasses, our handmade vanilla, pumpkin (we canned it last fall in glass jars), and organic spices.

Would you buy it? 👀
