Big Bones Canine Rescue is a 501(c)3 non-profit offering rescue services for dog breeds.Located in CO There's a pup for everyone here!

Big Bones Canine Rescue saves dogs of all breeds, sizes, ages and medical conditions. We require an application, reference check and a home visit. It is important to us that each of our dogs find their perfect family. Microchip, spay/neuter, and current shots are included with every adoption.

Meet Sulley! 💙 Sulley is an approximately 4-year-old French Bulldog with a super sweet personality and a whole lot of love to give! This adorable little guy LOVES people and is always happy to soak up attention. He's playful, dog friendly, and walks nicely on a leash, but his absolute favorite thing in the world might just be belly rubs! Although, if you ask Sulley, food might be a close contender! 😋
Sulley does have some food guarding tendencies that his future family will need to be aware of and continue working on with patience and training. Because of this, he'll need a home with older kids only who can understand and respect his boundaries, especially around food. Hi! I’m Pepe! 🐿️ 💚 I’m guessed to be a 1.5-year-old Black Mouth Cur mix, weighing around 30 pounds—the perfect size for adventures and cuddles! I’m housebroken, crate trained, walk nicely on a leash, and listen well. I adjusted quickly to my foster home and am learning new things every day!
I love watching and chasing squirrels, getting the zoomies, and cuddling up with my favorite people. I’m dog friendly and kid friendly, and would love to have another canine companion to play with! Because of my athletic skills, a fence that's ideally at least 5 feet tall would help keep me safe.

Hoss is guessed to be a 5.5 yr old English Bulldog. He is such a sweet boy, and loves all people (kids included)! He loves to snuggle and walks very well on a leash! 🐾 Meet Dolly! 💕 This lively sweet Pittie mix is guessed to be about 2.5 years old and is full of playful energy! Dolly’s favorite things are tug-of-war and chasing after soccer balls—she’s always ready for a game. She’s sweet natured, fun, dog friendly, and still working on her leash manners. Dolly does need a cat-free home.

Dolly came to us, heartworm positive, but lucky for her Big Bones covered the cost of her heartworm treatment and she is on her way to recovery now! She will need leashed walks/limited exercise for the next 30 days and would love an active home to keep her happy once she's in the clear to run and play!

We aren’t sure if her being blind is why she is getting no apps. We are here to tell you that blindness does not stop dogs from learning, having fun and being the biggest cuddle buddy you will ever want.

This sweet girl is about 8 years old and 11 pounds. She is good with other dogs and is working really hard on potty training.

Meadow recently had a dental, and she lost 25 teeth! Can you imagine living life with that many rotten teeth? Once she heals up, she is going to feel like a brand new dog. Now all she needs is a family to fall in love with her, besides her foster family that is.

🐾 Meet Century! 💕 Century is an approximately 4.5-year-old Terrier mix (around 30 lbs), with a super sweet, friendly personality. She loves meeting new friends and has an easygoing nature that makes her such a lovable companion. However, she prefers to have a person or family to herself, so she does need to be the only dog in her future home.
Century is friendly and walks nicely on a leash, making her a great buddy for neighborhood strolls and adventures with her future family. This sweet girl is ready to leave shelter life behind and find a forever home where she can enjoy all the love, walks, and companionship she deserves! 🐶💗
