From sleeping in a pile of leaves to sleeping in a bed of her very own. After 644 days, Dutchess has finally found her forever home. 🥹❤️
Dutchess, also known as Ginger by her first family at Karma's Cozy Kennel & Spaw, first came into our care on January 7, 2025. To the staff at Karma’s, she wasn’t just another dog waiting for a home. She was their Ginger. ❤️
She spent her days surrounded by familiar faces, caring hands, and people who made sure she always knew she was loved. But as much love as Dutchess received at Karma’s, we all shared the same wish. That one day, she would have a home to call her own and someone who would love her for the rest of her life.
And then, one meet and greet changed everything. 🥹
It was love at first sight! Dutchess had finally found her person, and her new mom had found her new best friend.
Now, the girl who once slept in a pile of leaves, to a kennel, now her very own bed blanket! She’s officially an only child, being spoiled completely rotten, waking up to scrambled eggs, and even getting to wear her and her mom’s favorite color, BLUE! 💙
To Dutchess’s new mom, thank you for seeing the beautiful soul we have always known. Thank you for opening your heart and home, giving her the chance she deserved, and already loving her so deeply. You’ve given her the forever we always wished for.🩵
And to the incredible staff at Karma’s Cozy Kennels & Spaw, thank you for every meal, every walk, every cuddle, and every ounce of love you poured into Ginger. You were her family while she waited for her forever one. Because of you, she never had to wait for a home to know what love felt like. 🧡
There is something bittersweet about watching a dog you’ve loved for so long finally walk away into the life you’ve always wanted for them. But this is exactly why we do what we do.
