Comet is our 13 year old Thoroughbred. His racing name was True Boldness. He won over $400k in his career but suffered a leg injury and had to have pins and screws placed. He is a cuddly and gentle boy. He is happy to be grazing and gentle riding. Here is a video of him winning 🥇 first place.

This Memorial Day, all of us at Cruz Equine Acres pause to honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country.
Because of their courage and dedication, we have the freedom to do what we love every day—including caring for the horses who find safety and a second chance at so many rescues.

We are forever grateful to our fallen heroes and the families who carry their legacy forward. 🇺🇸❤️

May we never forget.

In light of the ongoing obstacles we have faced in attempting to establish a horse rescue in Wilson, New York, we have made the decision to sell our land after receiving a very favorable offer. Those who have been following local News in Buffalo on channel 4 may be aware of the Town of Wilson's allocation of nearly $1 million of tax payers money to shut down a farm that offered 3 weeks of seasonal hayrides and a haunted house. The town has also been involved in the closure of a pumpkin farm, which has raised concerns.

Considering these factors, we believe it is in our best interest to accept the offer and relocate our horse rescue to a more suitable location. We are excited to find a new property that meets our needs, including a house, land, and barn. We are open to NYS, Virginia and possibly New Mexico.

We appreciate your ongoing support and invite you to continue following our journey on Facebook and our website. We are optimistic about the future. Cheers to new beginnings. 🥂

We are seeking an experienced builder to put up a 28x72x14 pole barn kit with an open 12x48ft lean-to on one eave side. The project involves building the shell only, with no concrete work required. The design specifications include two sliding 12x12 barn doors on each gable side and two Dutch doors on the lean-to side. As this is a rescue barn project, we require a reasonably priced service provider in the Wilson, NY area. Photo of what we are looking for.

It is with great regret that we announce Cruz Equine Acres will no longer be situated in Wilson, NY. Our contractor was informed by the building inspector that a barn cannot be erected without a house on the property. Furthermore, we would need to construct the house prior to obtaining a permit for the barn after applying for a variance. We had previously inquired about these requirements before making an offer on the 45-acre land parcel. Additionally, we were informed by the building inspector that placing a brand new mobile home on the land was permissible. However, we have since discovered this information to be inaccurate. This experience has been both costly and disappointing for us. Consequently, we have no alternative but to continue listing the land for sale and utilize the proceeds to acquire a property with land, house, and barn already established. We are open to exploring various locations and look forward to selling the current property and finding a suitable location for Cruz Equine Acres rescue center.

If you are interested in purchasing 45 acres of cleared farm land with a one-acre pond located on RT 425 and Braley Rd near the Wilson Conservation Club, please do not hesitate to contact myself or Angela Dicarlo at Hunt Real Estate.
