THIS IS REAL….NOT A DRILL…ITS HAPPENING!!!
I am coming back after 3 long years and finally selling plushies again!
I am beyond excited! More information to come!!
This year’s Guinea Jubilee is this weekend (September 23-24, 2022). The Jubilee is a two-day event that annually celebrates and honors life in Guinea. The event features cultural activities, arts and crafts exhibits, a parade, a fun run, delicious seafood, and a firework show to end the event Saturday evening.
The Gloucester County Sheriff's Office (GCSO) would like to remind affected residents that there will be increased foot and vehicle traffic in the area during the Jubilee and that there will also be road closures at various times on Saturday to accommodate the morning 5K, and 1-Mile Fun Runs, as well as, a parade. Times and specific road closures are listed below.
5k and 1-Mile Fun Runs (Mark Pine Road)
Traffic control points will be established at 7:55 am on Mark Pine Road, between Guinea and Little England Roads; single lane GCSO escorted traffic between 8:00-9:00am.
Parade (Guinea Road from Union Baptist Church to the Ruritan Club)
Traffic control points will be established at about 11:55 am. The parade will be on Guinea Road between Union Baptist Church and the Ruritan Club. The parade starts at 12:00 pm and should end no later than 1:00 pm. Please remember that it will take a significant amount of time to reduce traffic backup following the parade, so delays are expected. If you live below the Ruritan Club on Guinea Rd and have an appointment during the parade times you should make plans to leave home before the road closure.
Lastly there will be fireworks on sight starting at 9:00pm Saturday night.
Thank you in advance for your patience and understanding, and we hope everyone has a safe weekend!
