The Red Fronted Macaw is the smallest species of large macaw. Found in the arid desert regions of Bolivia, this unique species is not the jungle dweller like most macaw species. Nesting in cavities along sandstone cliffs, these little macaws have literally carved their way into a unique desert ecosystem.

They are very social and interactive birds in captivity. Rare in the wild and fairly rare in captivity as well. Hopefully, we can work with more RFM in the future. Establishing the species’ safekeeping in American aviculture.

I hope you are as excited as I am! I have kept Malay chickens for many years now, so this new breed just made sense to add to the flock.
If you know anything about the rare poultry industry- you know that Greenfire Farms did the impossible. If you aren’t in the loop, well then I guess you’ll have to wait for the final reveal😉

We are still a little camera shy☺️📸
Baby creamino Indian Ringnecks.
Super pretty color. I thought these were the last ringnecks of the season, but my pairs decided to throw more clutches.
So more Ringnecks coming soon‼️‼️

Baby Lady Amherst pheasants have made their debut. This was my first attempt at hatching pheasants, all 3 babies hatched perfectly. They have many more siblings on the way if any of my parrot followers also keep birds in the poultry realm.

If you have never seen or even heard of a Lady Amherst pheasant- highly recommend looking them up. They revival parrots with their bright colors.

Parrots aren’t the only birds that call Arizona Parrot Network home. Any guesses as to what these are?

We have macaw eggs! 🥚🥚🥚

The macaws have begun laying. It’s still a long way from chicks, but you have to stay hopeful. Macaws are not that simple to produce. Most of the eggs laid are infertile, so the few chicks that do come to term are pure miracles.

Macaws are a huge commitment. If this is your year to add a baby macaw to your flock, message me and we can start the process of preparation for these beautiful birds. Macaws aren’t something you acquire on a whim, take the time and do your research, and prepare your facility to house them properly.

Cockatiels are some of my favorite babies to raise. When I first started keeping parrots, it took a while before I began keeping smaller species; the majority of my birds are larger parrots.

I quickly discovered the charm of the cockatiel. They are such gentle birds- easily trained, even-tempered, super charismatic, and just an overall happy bird. They are small and often overlooked for their lack of bright colors. They are budget-friendly and fairly easy to care for.

I usually have a variety of colors.
Message me if you are interested in adding one of these babies to your flock😁

Oh hey there🤗

For whatever reason you follow my page, I thank you for sticking around. Whether you are a seasoned bird owner or a newbie looking for the perfect bird, I am always a message away.

I try to be as active as possible on here, but as more babies fill the nursery, I find it difficult to get my posts done. So please send me a private message regarding:
-Questions/concerns
-Looking for a certain species
-Interested in a bird I posted
-Looking to gain insight into a bird you have
-Or maybe you need help to start the process of rehoming your bird and don’t know where to begin.

My original purpose for Arizona Parrot Network is to be a data hub of my personal insights and experiences on all things birds. As time goes on and the chaos of baby season ends, I hope to dive deeper into topics covering more detailed analytics of bird keeping.

So in the meantime enjoy the baby birds, and if you have been waiting for baby quakers, green cheek conures, caiques, cockatiels, and macaws- we are nearing their season so hopefully we will have babies soon.

As always,
Stay wild 🦜
