Meet Arlo, everyone. He is only 2 years old, but boy, is he huge. He has got to be the most gentle, polite young dog I've ever met. He does have a few issues that we will get sorted out soon enough. He has some kind of injury all the way down his back where the white hairs are, and he's having some issues with one of his back feet. So, we will get him vetted, get a little more weight on him, and see how it goes. We hope you all have an amazing evening.

Life around here has been so busy; I think we forgot to introduce Honey Girl. She is about 14 years old and was dropped at the shelter with her companion dog. Unfortunately, we didn't get the call until after her friend got adopted. However, she has been with us for about two months now, and just like any oldie, she likes her space but is also making new friends.

Work is never really done at a rescue facility; it continues with every tic of the clock. We wouldn't have it any other way. We are currently closing in the back porch for some of our special needs pups. Have a great night, everyone!

Instead of spending money and time away from the rescue this week, we decided to spend David's birthday giving back. We converted 's old office into a new, fresh cat apartment.

In the last 3 weeks, we've taken in 3 cats: 2 kittens and 1 adult cat.

Kitten #1: Shiloh. We believe someone dropped her at our gate as she was spotted there a few times. Once we caught her, you could tell she's not feral and has been handled.

Kitten #2: River. He was a feral kitten someone caught as they noticed he had some kind of eye trauma. The vet thinks he was probably born without the eye.

Cat #1: Peaches. A feral/stray that had just had a litter of kittens and seemed to act sick, according to the kind souls that have been feeding her.

They are all safe in their own indoor apartment for now.

It's that time of year again.

If you'd like to be a part in housing, feeding, and saving a precious furbaby and you also want beautiful mums, then order them through us. We can deliver them to you or you can pick them up at rootednc85 in Burgaw.

Last year, we delivered mums from Carolina Beach to Topsail Island and many places in between. These mums are massive. Delivery will be the 2nd or 3rd weekend in September.

You can email us or Facebook message us here, and we can send you a link.

Thank you all so much for your continued following.

Well we did it again.

Today we were able to arrange transportation for not 1 not 2 but 3 fur babies with help from our friends at Onslow County Animal Services . Pete is currently at the vet and getting his full work up so far so good. After we got him settled at the vets we then transported Perry and Poppy Dave to The Lawrence Herd . We also took in another old senior last week as well. Honey Girl she will get her own post soon enough.

Thanks everyone! If you feel inclined to donate any amount helps.

It takes a village! I am truly grateful for my village!!

Senior Pete (black baby) was saved 30 minutes before euthanasia by our dear friends Nettys place!

Perry (8 year old chihuahua) and Poppy Dave (8 year old pom with mass) was saved by us thanks to two fosters that stepped up!! Thank you Suzanne and Christine!

The Lawrence Herd and Netty’s Place can use donations for these three if anyone can.
