Well, baby is getting to be a sassy spoiled baby. 💗 Apparently hated the wet wipe bath that was provided and after more bathing of the baby, I received a post bath glare only an angry baby can give.
An angry baby and Nola…

Nola had her pen position and stuffs changed out today. I put a toy in for her.

It was NOT the treat she was expecting.

She then got her treat and I must have redeemed myself because she’s tolerating my presence again. 🤣
Wilfred is in his man cave laying on his tiles.
He promptly came for treat and scratches and hastily left with his treat for some peace and quiet.

I think they’re tired of my reorganizing and deep cleaning 🧹 their space for the weekend.

All in all, they seem pretty content with the new arrangements and have been munching hay all evening.

Willow and Lola.
I feel like these two are ready.
Ready for a new beginning.
A life of love.
Willow is the white bunny and Lola is the rusty bunny.
These girls came to me due to an owner with medical issues who wanted better for her bunnies.
They were loved.
They were spoiled.
They are a bonded pair of Holland Lops.
They are five years old.
They love their stacking cups and looking for treats in them.
They love throwing their cups while they look for treats.
When I say they love throwing their cups, I mean Lola.
I was told they’re spayed and I’ve seen nothing to make me think otherwise.
When I received them, they were thin.
Since then they have gained weight and are in good condition.
They’re happy buns.
They go back and forth at each other like sisters do.
They now tolerate their nail trims and grooming.
We have a healthy group of bunnies.
They’ve been on timothy grass with a handful of alfalfa orchard grass.
I sprinkle in dandelion leaves and dried flowers for foraging.
They’re used to a pellet, hay feeder, and litter bin combo that they came with and I would send it with them.
It’s all they’ve known for years and they do very well with it.
Please message me here if you’re interested.
Please share if you know someone one who may be interested!

Thank you!

has loved having the babies right next door to her. She’s groomed them, loved them, comforted them. She’s been the best.

I was looking at pictures of her when she was pregnant and brand new in this house, to now.
She’s grown so much.
She was just a baby.
I think that picture was the first week or two I had her. She’s certainly not as small as she once was.

Baby has started sighing heavily after meals, potty breaks, you name it.
At the end, there’s a huff and a puff.
Potentially disdain, I’m going to lean towards endearment. 🤣

The parents of these babies are getting spayed and neutered today! Super proud of the owner for making that happen!

The older babies had a trip to the vet where their body condition looks good overall. However, one of the older babies is having some issues and is currently being treated with medication.

This leads me into my position on what I will take in and will provide care for.
I don’t believe I fall under the current rescue ideology.
There is an over abundance of rabbits needing care in our area.
My resources do have limitations in every aspect.
My focus will be on babies and homing healthy rabbits.
Hand fed babies will be well handled, calm, and snuggly bunnies that are desirable pets.

I have a rabbit and have had her for a while, but she runs up the fence and up the fence all when she hears flip flops. She seems to have been through some things. I’m not sure I’ll be able to home her and she’s part of a bonded pair.

I want to be very clear that it is not likely that I will be able to provide surgeries beyond spay and neuter. Should funds come in and there is high confidence of a good outcome, we may give it a go. However, if at that time there are healthy rabbits in need of care and that need is significant, we may not.

These babies eat. Formula is 30$/can and I’ve gone through 3 cans, 4 bags of alfalfa, and 2 bags of pellets since the babies came in addition to the adults already here.

I have to use the resources I do have for the greatest overall benefit to maintain a healthy bunny population and that will come with some hard choices.
