Fighters For Frenchies Foundation

Fighters For Frenchies Foundation We are a non-profit organization based out of Kansas that works to rehabilitate and advocate for French Bulldogs and other brachycephalic breeds.

We also assist special needs dogs. https://www.fightersforfrenchies.com Our organization was officially founded in 2025, but we have over 10 years of rescue experience. Our primary focus is French Bulldogs and other brachycephalic breeds, but we also take in special needs animals when we have space. We currently take in owner/breeder surrenders and hope to help shelter dogs in the near future. We

specialize in taking dogs with IVDD and various medical conditions. We're currently located in Wichita, KS and place dogs in foster homes until they are adoption ready. It is our hope to one day bring awareness on these breeds and education to the Wichita area, which is overrun with unethical, backyard breeders.

🎉 Happy (Belated) Adoption, Lizzy! 🎉

We’re a little late posting, but we couldn’t let this special moment pass without celebrating this sweet girl and her amazing new family!

Lizzy was one of the malnourished, neglected puppies who came into our care, and seeing her now living the life she deserves is exactly why we do what we do. Her journey wouldn’t have been possible without the incredible dedication of her foster mama, who poured so much time, patience, and love into helping Lizzy heal, grow, and learn what it means to be cherished. We are endlessly grateful for everything she did, and we know Lizzy is too.

To everyone who chooses to foster, adopt, donate, or support rescue in any way—thank you. Because of you, dogs like Lizzy get a second chance at life. Watching these puppies leave their difficult pasts behind and begin their happily-ever-afters is the greatest reward.

Congratulations, Lizzy! We can’t wait to see all the adventures and love that await you. ❤️🐾🏡

❤️ Hallie started her heartworm treatment yesterday, and now we wait 30 days for her next injection. ❤️

Poor girl was a little sore afterward, but she’s resting comfortably and taking it easy while she begins her journey to becoming heartworm-free!

Let this be a reminder to stay on top of your pets’ heartworm prevention. Treatment can be expensive, lengthy, and difficult on our dogs. Prevention is always easier than treatment.

Hallie is still searching for a calm foster home where she can relax during her activity restrictions. Because of her upcoming appointments, we’d prefer a foster located in Wichita or within reasonable driving distance of Topeka. It is extremely important we follow vet recommendations during the duration of her treatment.

If you can open your home to this sweet girl while she heals, please reach out. Let’s help Hallie through the final steps of her recovery journey. 🐾❤️

‼️ Effective immediately, Fighters For Frenchies will not be accepting any new intakes. ‼️

This isn’t going to be a super long post because, honestly, I’m exhausted, angry, and heartbroken. And no I am not shutting down or giving up, just we cannot continue creating space for dogs that I do not have in my home. We unfortunately have not been able to find a building and funds for one, so our personal home currently operates as such.

We are officially on an intake freeze until funding and foster support improve.

I cannot continue doing this alone. I cannot be the fundraiser, foster coordinator, primary foster home, social media manager, medical advocate, event planner, and caregiver all at the same time. I cannot continue stretching myself so thin that I don’t even have time to eat because I’m trying to keep everything afloat. I had a dream to fix our home years ago and move so we have land and space for the dogs, this will most likely never happen now due to the amount of dogs we are caring for and unfortunately you can’t work on a house that has an animal in every crevice.

The number of dogs currently relying on one person and one home is simply not sustainable, and it’s not fair to the animals already in our care.

Every day I see dogs that need help. Every day I have to say no because we don’t have the resources, the fosters, or the funding to responsibly say yes. That reality is devastating.

Until things change, we have to focus on the dogs already depending on us. They deserve our full attention and the best care we can provide.

If you’ve ever thought about fostering, volunteering, donating, helping with fundraising, or becoming involved in any way, now is the time. And please be mindful that I have over 400 messages unopened still and I am trying my best to respond to a large amount of humans every week ontop of running this organization. If you ever feel it’s been a significant amount of time and I have not responded, PLEASE contact me again and do not hesitate to remind me.

I love this rescue with everything I have, but I cannot carry it alone anymore.

-Your Exhausted Founder

Happy Father’s Day to all of the amazing rescue dads out there! 💙

Today we want to recognize the men who step up every day—not only for their human families, but for the animals who depend on them too.

Whether you’re helping with vet visits, carrying bags of dog food, cleaning kennels, building fences, fostering, administering medications, or simply opening your heart and home to a dog in need, your love and dedication do not go unnoticed.

Rescue is not always easy. It takes patience, compassion, sacrifice, and a willingness to love the ones who need it most. We are incredibly grateful for every rescue dad who helps make second chances possible.

From all of us at Fighters For Frenchies, thank you for being the kind of dads who make the world a little kinder—for both people and pets.

Happy Father’s Day to all of our rescue dads, foster dads, dog dads, and supporters. We appreciate you more than words can say. 🐾❤️

📣 Ride Needed For Hallie Tomorrow! 📣

Hallie is scheduled to start heartworm treatment in Topeka tomorrow at 4. We need to get her from Wichita to the vet in Topeka. We do need an already approved volunteer! Please message us if you can assist.

⛽️ Gas money will be provided and the appointment should not be terribly long. She’s a good girl and rides well in the car!

‼️ We also really need to find a foster to adopt or long term foster home for her! Once she begins treatment it is extremely important we follow the vets protocol and do not move her around until treatment is completed. Because of this we need a foster who can commit to months of caring for her without moving foster homes or an approved adopter who is open to doing foster to adopt. She is dominant and would do best with submissive dogs, unsure on cats. During the duration of her treatment she will need to be confined and kept calm.

We are feeling incredibly grateful today. ❤️

We put out a call for help, and you all answered in a big way. Donations have been arriving, and we are truly overwhelmed by the kindness and support shown to Fighters For Frenchies and the dogs who depend on us every day.

Unfortunately, Chewy and Amazon do not always provide sender information, so we aren’t able to personally thank everyone by name. Please know that if you sent food, supplies, or a donation, it has been received with immense gratitude and appreciation.

Your generosity helps keep bowls full, dogs cared for, and our mission moving forward during some very difficult times. Every package, every dollar, every share, and every word of encouragement means more than we can express.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for showing up for us when we needed it most. We are truly blessed to have such an amazing community standing behind these dogs. 🐾❤️

🚨 Emergency Prayers & Support Needed for Vito 🚨

Please keep Vito in your thoughts and prayers today.

This morning, Vito was rushed to our veterinarian with what appears to be a possible obstruction or blockage. We are still waiting for answers, but he is currently being evaluated and receiving care. X-rays are being done right now.

As many of you know, our rescue has already been struggling financially, and unexpected emergencies like this are incredibly difficult. It seems that when it rains, it pours… and today it’s literally pouring rain outside while we’re facing yet another crisis inside the rescue.

If you are able to help, donations of any amount would mean the world to us as we navigate Vito’s medical care. If you can’t donate, please share this post and send positive thoughts his way.

Right now, we’re hoping for good news, clear answers, and a speedy recovery for this sweet boy. ❤️

Please keep Vito in your prayers. We’ll update everyone as soon as we know more.

💰Donations can be made directly to our vet today, as we do not have enough in our bank account to cover the visit. Please contact El Paso Animal Hospital at 316-788-1000 to donate under our rescue account.

🚨 We Need Help. 🚨

For the first time in a long time, we’re sitting here tonight wondering how we’re going to buy dog food tomorrow.

Our rescue account doesn’t have enough funds to restock food, and we are completely out. Between routine care, medical appointments, special-needs supplies, and the day-to-day costs of caring for our dogs, we have reached a point that honestly scares us.

We know we’ve been quieter than usual lately, but behind the scenes we’ve been working tirelessly trying to find solutions, secure support, and keep moving forward. Right now, though, we need our community.

💔 We need donations.
🏠 We need fosters.
📢 We need people willing to share our posts.
🤝 We need support.

Every dollar matters. Every share matters. Every person willing to open their home to a foster dog matters.

The reality is that without funding and foster homes, we cannot continue helping dogs in need at the level we have been. That is heartbreaking for us because saying “no” to dogs has never been what this rescue is about.

If Fighters For Frenchies has ever made you smile, helped a dog you cared about, educated you, or inspired you, please consider helping today.

We are struggling. We are scared. But we are not giving up.

Please help us make sure our dogs have full bowls tomorrow.

🐾 What Gus lacks in brain cells, he makes up for with personality.

Gus is a 2-year-old English Bulldog with spina bifida who rocks his diapers like a champ. While he’s fully incontinent, don’t let that scare you away—this sweet boy has his routine down and takes it all in stride.

He may be one of our more high-maintenance pups, but he’s also one of the most incredible dogs you’ll ever meet. Gus has never met a stranger, gets along with everyone, and doesn’t have a mean bone in his body.

If you’re looking for a dog that will make you laugh, smile, and feel loved every single day, Gus is your guy. Fetch may not be his specialty, but making you laugh sure is.

🚨 We Need Your Help! 🚨

For the past several months, we have been fighting an uphill battle.

Many of you may have noticed that we’ve been quieter on social media lately. The truth is, every spare moment has been spent searching for solutions, brainstorming ways to keep this rescue moving forward, looking for fosters, pursuing fundraising opportunities, and trying to find a path that allows us to continue helping the dogs who need us most.

We are not giving up.

But we are being forced to slow down significantly until we can build a larger support system and create more stable funding.

One of the things we hear most often is criticism about adoption fees. We understand that adoption fees can seem high at times, but the reality is that adoption fees do not keep this rescue afloat. They cover only a small fraction of what it costs to care for these dogs. Every month we spend hundreds—often thousands—of dollars on veterinary care, medications, prescription food, diapers, urine checks, transportation, and everyday necessities.

Today, our rescue bank account sits at just $15.

That number is terrifying.

We are incredibly proud that we were finally able to pay off all of our outstanding veterinary bills. It took months of sacrifice, fundraising, and support from this community. But now we find ourselves right back at the starting line with no safety net.

At this moment, we don’t have enough funds to purchase dog food for the remainder of the month. We don’t have funds set aside for diapers, urine checks, medications, or the countless supplies required to care for our special-needs dogs every single day.

Last month was one of the hardest months we have ever experienced when it came to donations, and the emotional toll of constantly wondering how we are going to make it through another week is becoming overwhelming.

Rescuing animals is expensive. Rescuing brachycephalic breeds and special-needs dogs is even more expensive. These are the dogs many organizations cannot take, and they often require lifelong medical care, therapy, specialized equipment, and daily management.

Right now, we are hitting a roadblock, and we need our community more than ever.

If you have ever supported our mission, shared one of our posts, donated, fostered, adopted, volunteered, or cheered us on from the sidelines, please know that we are grateful for you.

Today, we are asking for help.

💜 Donate if you can.
💜 Become a foster.
💜 Help us find sponsors, donors, or fundraising opportunities.
💜 Tell others about Fighters For Frenchies.

Every dollar matters. Every share matters. Every person who joins this mission matters.

We aren’t ready to quit. These dogs deserve more than that.

But we cannot do this alone.

With gratitude,
Fighters For Frenchies Rescue
