When I was a Siberian Husky breeder I made a commitment to those puppies for life. They were all AKC registered and microchipped.
I thought my screening process and contracts meant something to the people that took them. I cried at every goodbye. I trusted the people!
I'm rescuing a boy who is from my pack. It's been a ton of work to get things arranged.
I guess the message I'm trying to convey is if you own a pet, take care of it. You don't just pawn them off. I have the contracts that I need to be notified if the dog is transferred.
Owner gave him up to a 'friend'. He's been in puppy jail for a month now. He's getting his freedom ride Monday thanks to a friend in Wichita.
People think it's easy money to breed, nope. If you do it well the only reward we get is puppy kisses and fun memories.
