Bella was saved moments before being killed at a shelter. Now she is for adoption and needs a loving home asap. 🥹

Bella’s story started with a heartbreak no dog should ever know. She sat in a cold, overcrowded kennel at the Downey shelter, so terrified that she simply gave up.

She stopped eating. She grew weak. She developed pneumonia. Because she was sick and scared, she was placed on the “kill list.” She was hours away from being killed simply because she was heartbroken.

We pulled her out just in time, and she is now in perfect health. She is a gentle, sensitive soul who just wants to be someone’s everything. She has a big heart and wants to show you love all day, everyday.

Bella is a cane corso/pit mix. She needs you.

She’s gentle: After all she’s been through, all she just wants is to be tucked into a warm blanket next to you.

She’s loyal: She gives the kind of deep, leaning hugs that tell you she’s finally feeling safe.

She’s a quiet soul: She just wants a peaceful home where she can finally breathe easy and relax. Not a big barker other than strangers approaching your home that don’t belong there, otherwise quiet.

Your silent protector: A loyal guardian who will always watch over you.

House and potty trained: She is very good indoors, doesn’t chew furniture or make a mess.

Bella is 4 years old, she needs an experienced, strong leader to show her the world isn’t a scary place. She’d prefer to be your only baby (no cats or small kids), but she’s happy to coexist with other calm dogs who won’t bark at her.

She’s spent so long being scared. Can you be the person who finally tells her she’s home?

Weighing in at 60 lbs, she’s a sweet, affectionate girl who adores snuggles, hugs, and being wrapped in cozy blankets right next to you.
