Let dogs be dogs....that's my motto.
Here they have 40 acres, mud, sticks, bugs and wildlife, a pack of playmates, and it is all great entertainment for them. By the time they come indoors at the end of the day, trust me they're tired.

Oh Bootsy... 🤦🏼‍♀️

One of the daily chores here of course is scrubbing and refilling the stock tanks each morning. Unfortunately for the other 6 dogs in Bootsy's playgroup, she likes to turn the drinking water into mud soup multiple times a day.

I keep promising her and her friends a couple pools but 60 inch plastic pools are $28 at our local Bomgaars store. A tad out of reach at the moment given we have some more pressing needs.

Anyone willing to pick up a few 60 inch pools for each of our 3 large play yards???

We are in search of 6-8 wooden spools in good condition and 2-3 sections of 24 inch or larger plastic pipe, similar to these. We have a jungle gym for the dogs here that we built out of these supplies several years ago and the dogs absolutely love it. They play on it constantly.

We are looking to get some more of these supplies donated so that we can build a couple more. Enrichment and keeping the critters happy and entertained is always so important and when I find something they like, I do my best to make it possible for them!

Monday seems to have rolled around once again!

It's not even 8 a.m. and already I have called dispatch about a cow out on the highway and posted a loose dog running around in Guernsey.

It was a gorgeous weekend and the dogs enjoyed every minute outside while we worked on projects. Teddy and Toucan are attentive helpers but once the temperature rose they decided a shady spot under the truck having a good chew on a stick was a better way to pass the time.

Now back to work!

Very sad to report that this peanut did not make it. She passed on the way to the vet. Likely an embolism or spinal issue since there was no injury to her nonfunctional leg. We called her Cheeto. If anyone would like to cover the cost of her cremation, it was $30. You can donate to us or call Laramie Peak Vet directly and pay it to our account there. 😿

Another late night call. This babe's back leg just dangles. She is wild so we just got her home and started on pain control. Now she is much calmer. Tomorrow, off to the vet we go. Stay tuned...

Other common items like blankets/sheets, dog beds, plastic dog houses, toys, leashes/collars, etc are accepted but only on an as-needed basis because storage space is limited.
