NOW YOU KNOW! - The Elongated Tortoise, or Yellow Tortoise (Indotestudo elongata), has one of the largest tortoise ranges, spanning across much of South and Southeast Asia. It inhabits a wide variety of forest types and grasslands. This omnivore feeds on plants, fungi, and animal matter. Sadly, populations have reduced by greater than 80%, driven by habitat destruction and intensive collection for the food and the pet trade.
