💚🕊️ A big thank-you to Westfield State Biology! 🕊️💚

We’re so grateful to the Westfield State Biology class for partnering with our rescue to DNA test some of our wonderful rescue pigeons! This collaboration helps us learn more about our birds and take another step toward finding them their own loving, forever homes. 🏡❤️

A special thank-you as well for inviting us into your classroom to introduce some of our feathered friends, share their stories, and talk about just how amazing pigeons are! We loved the opportunity to help students learn more about these intelligent, often misunderstood birds and how they can support pigeon rescue. 🐦✨

And now, for the big reveal! 🥁 Here are the DNA results:

💗 Dale — Girl!

Our next step is to collaborate on getting some beautiful new photos of these birds to help show off their unique personalities and, hopefully, get them one step closer to finding their forever families! 📸🏡

We’re so thankful for community partnerships like this that bring education, compassion, and animal rescue together. Thank you, Westfield State Biology Department, for helping us give these special birds the chance they deserve! 💚

🌙🐦 When Buddy says it’s bedtime, the WHOLE family is going to bed! 😂

Buddy has decided he’s in charge of the bedtime routine! 🛏️ He’ll head upstairs and make sure everyone knows it’s time to call it a night. Because apparently, this family runs on Buddy Standard Time. 🤣💙

Who needs a bedtime reminder when you have Buddy? 😂

📸 VOLUNTEERS NEEDED! 🐦💚

We have 15 adoptable pigeons waiting for their forever homes, and we need your help getting them noticed! 🏡💕

That’s where YOU come in! We’re looking for volunteers to help us take photos of our adoptable pigeons and show off these feathered friends to potential adopters. 📷✨

You don’t need to be a professional photographer or have fancy equipment. If you have a phone with a camera, a little patience, and a love for pigeons, we’d love your help!

Buddy Update 🐦❤️

Buddy is doing so well! Their little nub is now fully feathered, and they’re starting to find their confidence and their voice!

They’re also enjoying spending more time around humans and showing us more of their sweet personality every day. We’re so proud of how far this little bird has come.

Buddy Update 🐦❤️

Buddy is a little over a week post-surgery and doing AMAZING! The vet says they’re healing wonderfully and are officially done with medication!

Our favorite part? Those tiny baby feathers already starting to sprout! 💕

This is our first time caring for an amputee pigeon, so we’re excited to watch their adorable little nubby wing develop.
