Happy 3rd Birthday to our very first Seven Cedar’s litter! 🥲✨🐾

Seriously… how are you guys THREE already?!

Daisy’s litter gave us five of the sweetest pups — 3 girls and 2 boys — and I’m so incredibly thankful that all five are living happy, healthy, and loved lives. 🤎

One of the most special parts of this journey has been staying in touch and remaining close with each of their families. Getting to watch these babies grow over the last three years has meant more to me than I can put into words.

Seven Cedars has a new little man to introduce. 🤎🌲🐾

After quite the entrance into this world, we are so incredibly happy to introduce Georgia’s beautiful singleton boy. And “little” might not be the right word — this chunky guy came into the world at 1.4 lbs, ultimately resulting in a C-section to get him here safely. 🥹🩵

Through this entire journey, our biggest priority was always keeping Georgia safe and healthy while doing everything we could to bring her baby into the world safely too. 🤍

We truly cannot thank the amazing staff at Waterville Veterinary Clinic enough, especially Doctor Baeur. From all of the monitoring and reassurance leading up to delivery, to making the decision to move forward with a C-section and safely getting our boy here while protecting his mama, we will forever be grateful. They loved and cared for Georgia like she was their own, and because of them, we were able to bring both mama and baby home safe. 🥹🤍

Georgia is home, settling into motherhood, and wondering how this little baby boy appeared. After all the worry that came with a singleton pregnancy, seeing these two together makes every single moment worth it.

Behind the scenes at Seven Cedar’s Labradors, the last couple of months have held so much excitement, hope, and now, a little bit of uncertainty. 🤍🐾

This summer, Georgia came into heat, was bred for her very first litter, and then came the long wait to find out whether our girl was expecting. Yesterday, we finally received the news we had been hoping for — Georgia is pregnant. 🥹🤍

However, our ultrasound appears to show just one little puppy. While ultrasound isn’t always exact when it comes to puppy counts, at this time we are preparing for the possibility that Georgia is carrying a singleton puppy.

As excited and thankful as we are to have a pregnancy, this isn’t the outcome we had hoped for Georgia’s first litter. Singleton pregnancies can come with additional risks and complications for both mom and puppy, which means the next few weeks will involve extra monitoring, testing, appointments, and a whole lot of watching our girl closely.

We truly cannot thank the incredible team at Waterville Veterinary Clinic enough for helping us monitor Georgia throughout this process and for continuing to keep a close eye on her as we approach her due date during the first week of September. Having people we trust helping us through this means more than we can say. 🤍

To everyone who has been patiently waiting on Georgia’s waitlist, we are incredibly sorry that we may not have the puppies we all hoped for this time around. At this point, Georgia and her puppy have to be our number one priority. For those who would like to remain on our waitlist for a future litter, we would absolutely love to keep you there and will be in touch as we know more about our future plans.

For now, our only wish is to get one healthy, happy little baby safely into this world while keeping our Georgia girl healthy and happy, too. 🐾

The next couple of weeks come with a lot of unknowns, testing, and careful monitoring, so please keep Georgia and her little singleton in your thoughts. 🤍

Sometimes breeding doesn’t go according to the plan we pictured — and this is one of those moments where everything else gets put aside and we simply focus on taking care of the mama and little life in front of us.

One tiny heartbeat. One very loved mama. And a whole lot of hope. 🤍🐾

For everyone patiently (or not so patiently 😅) waiting for Georgia’s litter update…

We regret to inform you that Miss Georgia has once again decided that timelines are merely suggestions.

Despite our hopes, wishes, calendar counting, and daily overanalyzing of every little behavior, there is still no sign of her coming into season. At this point, she’s running the show and we’re all just along for the ride. 🥲

To everyone on our waiting list—thank you for hanging in there with us. We know the anticipation is real, and we appreciate your patience more than you know. Trust us, no one is more ready for this girl to make up her mind than we are!

Until then, we’ll continue checking, waiting, and accepting the fact that Georgia apparently didn’t get the memo about our plans. 😂

Stay tuned… whenever Her Majesty decides the time is right. 👑🐾
