I've had people tell me their dog was on a deer and they shocked him all the way back to their feet , WHY ? you just taught him that the only safe place is at your feet and the next time you go out you will scold him for hanging out at your feet. You want him to think the deer is what caused the shock , when he quits running the deer and starts back to you that's all you need , The Dog don't need punished because you're an idiot. "YOU HAVE TO BE SMARTER THAN THE DOG" Rant over
