Sweet Lacie got adopted today! Lacie is the sweet girl who was adopted with her sister by my friend, Jill Robinson, who passed away unexpectedly a few months ago. Her sister Macie got adopted and now Lacie has a new family too! The sweetest part about this adoption is that her adopters are kin to Rita G Warner Tucker’s husband, Bob. My heart needed this today. ❤️

P.S. - y’all know I stink at remembering to take pictures at adoption time. 😏

Hadleigh and I were on Good Morning ArkLaMiss for Adopt A Pet with Polly and Toodles this morning. Toodles got restless right before we went on air, but Polly did great. Please share and help these babies find their purrfect homes! ❤️

We have a very special announcement today: for our 10th anniversary, the Rita Tucker Animal Advocacy Award will be sponsored by Rita's sister. Martha Rambin, to honor her memory and the lasting impact she made not only within our animal community but also in helping lay the groundwork to make our new shelter a reality.

Join us in thanking Martha for her sponsorship!

Here’s some of our adoptable kitties! I just snapped pictures of some of them as I was working in the building, so there’s no cute background or anything special. Just them doing what they do on a daily basis. I’ll put info about them under their pictures. This is no where near all of them! It’s just hard finding the time to get individual pictures of everyone. All of our kitties are spayed / neutered and fully vetted. These kitties are all about a year old. Send us a message to schedule a meet and greet and please share this post! ❤️

Here’s a few pictures of some of the changes we’ve made in the cat building. We turned the large loft that had the catio front into extra lounge space. I wanted the beds elevated and needed storage for food, litter, etc, so the plastic totes worked perfectly. We added a cat walk so the kitties can travel back and forth between the lofts without having to get down. We also added the steps going to the left loft and the lounge boxes on the other side that also act as steps for that loft. We put a large air purifier in the building to help keep the hair and dirt under control. They also got a cat wheel and it has been a hit! Still have a couple cat trees to put together, but I’m going to take a little break first. I snapped a few pictures of some of the kitties as I was working earlier and I’ll post them here shortly. ❤️

I’ve been in the kitty building working most of the day (we’re making some improvements to accommodate the number of kitties in there) and Polly was laying there looking so sweet so I had to take a picture of her. She’s a polydactyl kitty (she has extra toes on her front paws) and she’s going to get fluffier when the weather gets cooler. Isn’t she beautiful? If you’d like to meet Polly message me to schedule a meet and greet. 😊

Thank you to my sweet friend, Tisha Almond Crain, for her donation for clumping litter! We are going through a ton of it with all of the kitties in our care, so we are so grateful! ❤️
