Sugar made her debut at our adoption event yesterday and she sure was sweet like her name suggests!! Sugar is currently available on a foster to adopt situation (or seeking a new temporary foster) while we wait for an opinion on her eye and decide whether or not we will remove it. The rescue will cover all her care until then, and if the foster wants to move forward with an adoption, we will finalize it once she's medically cleared.

Mr. Lucky was a recent transfer from one of our rescue partners down south. He's sadly been waiting for his forever home for over a year with no interest. He loves to hang out with his people and snuggle up under a blanket. Can we change up his luck and find his forever family!?

$1,035 out of $1,700 raised 🙏🏼❤️‍🩹

We have some great news about our girl Lil Bit! She was horribly sick a few weeks ago battling an infection that she likely had for a very long time before she entered our rescue. After some good antibiotics, groceries, and TLC her repeated bloodwork looked great and she's been gaining weight wonderfully. We did one more round of antibiotics to be safe and she's feeling better than ever!

However... this now means that she's healthy enough for surgery. She desperately needs a dental and most of her teeth will end up having to be removed. Without the surgery, she faces the risk of chronic infections and pain, and a pesky runny nose related to the teeth that hasn't yet gone away. Due to her very small size and the need for x-rays to ensure they remove anything causing her issues, we can't cut corners or costs on this procedure.

Her estimate for the dental is between $1,200 and $1,700 and she goes in on Monday 6/22 for this. We'd love to raise towards the high end of this estimate, and anything over our final bill will of course be used for continued care for our other dogs. We know it's a big ask, but we'll have to pay the entire bill at pickup and we'd be so thankful for any contributions to help make that happen! Barbie and Izzy BOTH received applications after we made this post. Our team always gets so excited when someone applies for our dogs... we get to work on the applications as quickly as possible, talk about how perfect these homes could be for the dogs, start looking at the waitlist we have of dogs in need to pick out which dogs we can save next. But unfortunately neither applicant ended up moving forward with meeting them after we got them approved 💔

It's truly heartbreaking when that happens. We almost don't want to even tell our volunteers that an application has come in until they're confirmed for a meet and greet 😔

That being said - these two sweet girls are STILL on the lookout for their forever families. Please share this post to help us find them 🙏🏼💜

Interested in adopting, but want the opportunity to meet multiple dogs on the same day? We have three events coming up in the next few weeks where we can make that happen!

💸 This is also a fundraiser event!

It's important to note that we can't promise which dogs will be at which events. Not all of our fosters can attend, and if a dog has an application pending, they will be on hold and therefore not in attendance. If you feel drawn to a specific dog, we recommend completing an application so we can move forward with a private meet and greet to give you the best chance at bringing home the dog of your choice!

Please bring only human members of your family to meet the pups on these days. We'll set up an individual meet and greet prior to sending the pup home where your dog(s) will get a chance to meet their new sibling ☺️

Tabby is a shy but sweet girl. She needs someone who will give her time to come out of her shell but she'll make it worth your while! She loves other dogs, treats, and playing with toys. She's started to enjoy exploring the yard with her dog friends but is still scared about walking on leash.
