Sweet girl alert!!! Barbie is one of the nicest, happiest pups her foster mom has had the privilege to welcome home! She is still taking a minute or two to warm up to strangers but getting more confident everyday. She is missing a leg but boy it doesn't slow her down - she runs, jumps, plays, and could very easily keep up with an active family who loves to adventure. She's down to go everywhere and at the end of the day, equally excited to cuddle up and sleep on your pillow 🥰

This sweet girl Dolly just officially joined our rescue family and she needs our help. We committed to her a few months ago, but had some logistical issues with her transport. She's finally with an incredible temporary foster in KY and undergoing surgery on Tuesday, with transport to her NY foster the following weekend!

Dolly is a 1 year old Great Dane mix who's lived at a rural shelter In Alabama since she was EIGHT WEEKS old. She grew up in an outdoor kennel and that's all she's known. What's worse - she has either a birth defect or injury at a young age that causes her front leg to buckle and almost completely fold over with every step she takes. It's scary to see video of her walking 😔

Dolly waited over a year with nobody to help - but she's finally well on the way to feeling better. The tough part is, we're still closed for intake. Adoptions are at a standstill. Monetary donations have been nonexistent. Our incredible vets at Sheabel are getting ready to do her amputation surgery on Tuesday and we already have a balance owed to them for previous spay/neuter. We're hoping to raise funds to at least pay for this surgery at time of discharge so we don't add more to the ever growing vet bills 🙏🏼

Speaking of dogs who have waited far too long for their people - Luna was adopted and then promptly returned because the other dog in the home wasn't accepting of her. We had hoped everyone could adjust, but she was brought back to her foster 2 days later. Luna is a super sweet baby who can be shy at first but will absolutely love you once she settles in. She loves to snuggle up with her foster mamma and be a couch potato! She’d do best in a quiet home with no children and preferably other small dogs for comfort. She’ll take a few weeks to fully settle in and get comfortable going outside/exploring new places.

Doris is another pup who's waited far too long to find her forever family! She was originally rescued from a puppy mill and is now living her best life in foster. The only thing that’s missing is a forever family to call her own! She LOVES car rides, snow, squeaky toys, couch cuddles, and walks. She has short bursts of energy where she zooms and plays fetch but then happily settles down for a cuddle. She would be perfect for someone wanting an Aussie without the over the top herding breed energy. She could even be suitable for apartment living with daily walks - she is a true unicorn Aussie!

Doris has been searching for her forever home for several months with absolutely no interest and we can’t figure out why. She is essentially the perfect dog!! Please share to help us find her forever 🙏🏼💕

We're at a loss as to why this girl hasn't been adopted yet... where are her people!?

Lilo is a very sweet pup! She is doing great with potty training when kept on schedule, and she sleeps in her crate the full night and doesn’t make a p*ep. She is great with cats and mostly ignores them aside from an occasional sniff. She is great with other dogs and loooves to play and romp around. She loves to flop on her back for belly rubs every morning - she is very lovey dovey and enjoys winding down with snuggles on the couch at bedtime 🥰 She is eager to please and food motivated, and with consistency and patience, she will make a wonderful pet!

We couldn’t leave this sweet boy behind well the two other dogs in the home found rescue, so he has temporarily been placed in a foster home. It wasn’t ideal and we don’t want to overload our fosters, but the alternative was too sad to think about. He’s timid, but very, very sweet. He is filthy and smells like a puppy mill despite coming from someone’s home 😔

He is still figuring some things out, but we can already tell he is a great dog and will make someone just as happy as they will make him. He’s hesitant on leash, may mark but that typically subsides with neutering. We would love to see him move into a more permanent foster situation or better yet into a foster to adopt home.

Thalia and her siblings came to us very scared and shut down from the shelter, but they’re starting to figure out that life’s not too bad! They’re interested in toys and exploring outside and they love playing with other dogs. They’ll need a gentle hand to help them continue to trust, but they’re off to a great start!

Our adoption done today was the last one we had on the books… no applications pending or meet and greets planned. That’s never good news - it means no foster homes opening up to save more dogs, and no adoption fees coming in to help with vet bills 😣

Foster or foster to adopt home needed 💔

This pup is a 2 year old male Mini Aussie. That’s all we know about him. We don’t know his name, or his history (if he’s even had much of one). But we know he needs help. His owner is sick and can no longer care for his dogs - the puppy and Shih Tzu found rescues, but he’s still not safe.

We’re still closed for intake, but we can’t see this little guy left behind. He would arrive Monday morning and is in search of a friendly face to welcome him home. He’s lived with other dogs, cats unknown. He will need someone with patience and an open mind to help him adjust.

Gretta cake to us from a rural shelter back in February carrying a surprise! We didn’t know until we had already pulled her, but she was pregnant, and too far along for our vet to feel comfortable spaying. She is now officially done with motherhood and ready to be the baby in a family of her own!
