Having Bloodhounds is basically like having toddlers… 😂🐾

They’re loud.
They’re stubborn.
They get into EVERYTHING.
They have absolutely no concept of personal space. 😂

And somehow… you still can’t imagine life without them.

🐾 SOME PAW PRINTS NEVER REALLY LEAVE… ❤️

Every puppy that comes through High Road Hounds leaves with a piece of our hearts.

We watch them take their first steps, discover their noses, find their personalities, and grow into the incredible dogs they were meant to be.

Then comes the hardest part… letting them go. 🥹

But we remind ourselves that we aren’t really saying goodbye. We’re watching the next chapter begin. ❤️

Some will serve their communities. 🚔
Some will search for those who need to be found. 🔎
Some will track, trail, and work. 👃🏼
And some will simply be their family’s best friend. 🏡

No matter where their journey takes them, each one leaves a permanent paw print on our hearts. 🐾❤️

And that’s the beautiful—and sometimes bittersweet—part of being a breeder.

Raise them. Love them. Let them go. Watch them make a difference. ❤️

🦌 HUNTING SEASON FYI 🦌

As hunting season approaches, I just wanted to give everyone a heads-up that High Road Hounds will be taking VERY limited tracking/recovery calls this year.

With our newest addition to the family 🩷👶🏼, life looks a little different around here, and family will be our priority this season.

That being said, I may still be able to help with a limited number of tracks when timing and circumstances allow. Please understand that response times may be different than in previous years, and I may not always be available. I will help forward any calls to other trackers who may be able to help as well!

As always, if I am able to take your track, I’ll do everything I can to put these dogs to work. 🐾

Thank you all for your continued support and understanding while we adjust to life with a new baby! ❤️

The last to leave — Leroy! 🩷🐾

This sweet boy is officially headed off to a SAR organization, where I know he’s going to do BIG things! ❤️

Watching these puppies leave and begin their new journeys is always bittersweet, but knowing Leroy will have a job, a purpose, and a chance to make a difference makes our hearts so incredibly proud.

Go be great, Leroy! We can’t wait to watch everything you accomplish! 🥹🐾❤️

Before the last of the boys headed off to their new adventure, we had to sneak in a few photos first! 🩵📸

It only seemed fitting to capture these memories before saying goodbye.

Wishing these handsome guys the very best in their next chapter!

What’s cuter than a Bloodhound puppy? 🥹🐾

A Bloodhound puppy with her short-legged besties! 😂💕🐶

Those long ears + those little legs = WAY too much cuteness! 🥰
