When we are contacted for a rescue case or an owner surrender, we ask that all available information—both behavioral and medical—is shared with us upfront. This includes temperament, past training, interactions with people or other animals, known triggers, as well as any medical history, diagnoses, medications, or prior treatments.
This information is not about judgment—it is about preparation. The more we know, the better we can:
• Provide appropriate medical care
• Create a structured training plan
• Ensure proper handling and safety
• Place each dog in the right environment for long-term success
Incomplete or withheld information can delay care, create unnecessary stress for the animal, and impact placement outcomes. Transparency allows us to advocate properly for every dog that comes into our care.
