I was doing some pedigree research today and came across this lovely surprise. Nikki Horner developed the Bombay breed from combining Burmese and black American Shorthair cats during the 1960's and 1970's. Shawnee was Nikki Horner's registered cattery, and I was very excited to see what a Shawnee Bombay looked like. I love the comparison between GC, BW Shawnee Ai Ai of Sankachi and our RW BW SGCA Wizardgate Shadow NightShade. TICA accepted the Bombay breed in 1979 and we are so very grateful to be able to breed and show them now.
