Happy Mother's Day, Lavvie!

6 weeks old!
This has been a busy week.
The puppies got baths and pedicures.
They took their first car rides.
They went to the vet for their 6-week check-up and vaccines. Hart Animal Hospital is the best! Thank you Dr. Hart for taking such good care of the babies.
Everyone did great and had a great report from the vet!

UPDATE - SOLD!

We had 1 silver lab female, 5 weeks old, looking for her forever home.

Here at Gun Lake Silver Labs we raise family dogs in our home near Gun Lake, Michigan. Our 3 labs are a part of our family! The puppies are well loved and well handled! It is a family affair.

This is Lavvie's 3rd litter. Lavvie (short for Lavender) is our Mommy dog. She turned 5 on Valentine's day. She is an excellent Momma! She loves affection/snuggles, could play fetch all day and she loves food! Lavvie weighs 70 pounds and Dusty (our male) is about 85 pounds. He is our sweet 3 year old baby. Dusty has tons of energy, loves to play fetch, and he enjoys retrieving ducks for my husband. They are both AKC registered silver labs. Lavvie has good hips and elbows and Dusty has excellent hips and elbows.

The puppies are currently 5 weeks old. They come with their first round of puppy shots, AKC paperwork, a new puppy packet, a bag of their current puppy food, a blanket that smells like Momma and the rest of the litter, and a new toy. We litter train the puppies, so it is much easier to potty train when they go to their forever homes. The 8 puppies were born on March 12 and will go to their forever homes at 7-8 weeks - between April 30 and May 7.

How did you fare in the storm?

We only received rain and minimal wind. We lost power, but we are operating with a generator. The puppies are all doing fabulous! Lavvie is keeping an eye on them to make sure they are behaving. 😉

The puppies upgraded to the larger pen and are working on litter training.

Today the puppies got pedicures and ate puppy food, that had been soaked overnight, for the first time. They love food!

Puppies grow up SO fast!

The puppies all got pedicures. Now they don't have sharp nails to scratch Mom. Some of them love the attention or just sleep through the process, others are a little more opposed to having their feet touched.
