Correct.

They are not Bluey & Bingo.
They are not convenient.
They are not easy.
Especially, at first.

If you won't work for it, then save everyone the time & trouble.
Put on your adult pants.
Tell your kids NO.
Tell yourself NO.

Because the rest of us are sick of seeing the heelers suffer your failure.
The rest of us are sick of carrying the burden that is your failure.

To those of you who inform yourselves.
And embrace the work.
And do earn it.
We see you. ❤️

RELP?!?!!!

BREED DETECTIVES; what’s your best guess of the “flavour” of this dog?
Drop your best educated guess in the comments – and tell us the one clue you’re basing it on as well?

We’ll go first - Shepard vibes (maybe a mix)?

The Question That Changed
Everything

Over the past few weeks, we’ve been asking dog owners questions, and the responses have been overwhelming.
Anxiety. Reactivity. Food allergies. Pain signals. Training confusion. "Is this normal?" "Should I be worried?" "Why won't my vet listen?"

Here's what we realised: The information gap between what dog owners need and what they can access is massive.

Vet visits are expensive and rushed. Trainers are hit-or-miss. Google is a minefield. And the dogs are the ones who suffer when we guess wrong.

So we're building something.
We’re not ready to share details yet, but it's designed to solve this exact problem - and it's going to directly fund CARES rescue operations at the same time.

If you've ever felt lost, unheard, or unsure about your dog's health or behavior, this is for you.

Drop a comment: What's the ONE question you wish you could ask an expert about your dog right now?
We are reading every single one.

This girl in the picture is the Bougie. Lost her a couple of years ago at 18. She’s the one that started all of this. Miss her every day. 💚💚

🐾 Tessie-A New Helping Paw for Anxious Dogs 🐾

Good news for dog parents: as of May 6, 2026, the FDA approved Tessie (tasipimidine oral solution) as the first ever drug cleared to help dogs suffering from both noise aversion and separation anxiety. (fda.gov)

What are noise aversion & separation anxiety?

Noise aversion: fear reactions triggered by loud sounds-think fireworks, traffic, or thunderstorms. Dogs might pant, tremble, hide, or bark. (fda.gov)
Separation anxiety: when dogs get stressed, destructive, or vocal when left alone. (fda.gov)
How Tessie works:

Its active ingredient, tasipimidine, is part of the alpha‐2 adrenoceptor agonist family. That means it helps calm that fight‐or‐flight nervous system response when a dog is scared or stressed. (fda.gov)

Sensitive timing: give the dose about one hour before a known stress trigger (fireworks, leaving home). (fda.gov)
Best when given without food-eating beforehand can slow its absorption. You can offer a small treat so the dog accepts it. (fda.gov)

You can use it multiple times a day if needed-up to three doses every 24 hours, with at least 3 hours between each. For separation anxiety, generally used twice a day. (animaldrugsatfda.fda.gov)

What owners should know:
It's prescription‐only. A veterinarian should assess the dog, rule out other issues, and determine if Tessie’s right. (fda.gov)

In studies: Most common side effects were mild-vomiting, lethargy; for separation anxiety, also diarrhea in addition. (animaldrugsatfda.fda.gov)
Not meant to replace behavior training-best when used with training and environmental strategies. (aaha.org)
When will it be available?

Tessie is made by Finland’s Orion Corporation, and in the U.S. it will be distributed by Zoetis. (orionpharma.com)
Expected rollout in the U.S. is mid‐2027. (orionpharma.com)

If your dog shakes at storms, hides during fireworks, or loses it when you leave-they might finally have a treatment that helps. Talk with your vet to see if Tessie could be part of your dog’s calm‐down plan! 💙
