Things that have changed.. ⬇️
🐰Pet quality rabbits will no longer go home with a pedigree.
🥕Why? Pet quality rabbits are sold as companions and are not intended to be used in a breeding program focused on maintaining breed standards. Because of this, pedigrees are reserved for brood and show quality rabbits that closely meet the Standard of Perfection and are suitable for preserving and improving the breed. This helps protect the integrity of my lines and encourages responsible breeding practices. Pet quality rabbits still make wonderful companions and receive the same care and attention, but they are not being sold with breeding rights or pedigree documentation.
🐰If I sell a rabbit to you as a pet and I find out that you have bred or shown it you will be put on my DO NOT SELL list. PLEASE do not do this!! Pet quality rabbits should never be bred or shown.
🥕Why? My goal as a breeder is to responsibly protect the quality, health, and integrity of my lines and the breed as a whole. It makes my rabbitry look bad when I sell a rabbit that is only meant to be a pet and it’s put on the show table. Pet quality rabbits are not suitable to be bred or shown.
🐰 I will not sell 2 pet quality rabbits of the opposite gender to the same home.
🥕Why? By not placing opposite-gender pairs together, I help prevent accidental litters, irresponsible breeding, and situations where rabbits may end up neglected or surrendered due to unexpected babies.
🐰Rabbits over 8 weeks of age must be paid IN FULL before holding fees commence. Deposits only hold your bunny until it is 8 weeks of age. Bunnies need to be picked up on time. I hate to enforce this policy but lately it’s becoming an issue because rabbits aren’t picked up on time. Feed is not cheap and cage space is limited😭
🥕Why? When a customer inquires on a rabbit I notify when the rabbit will be 8 weeks of age, so you have time to plan ahead of time for pickup. Once a rabbit reaches 8 weeks of age, it is old enough to leave and begins taking up additional space, feed, care, and time while being held. Requiring full payment helps ensure serious buyers and prevents rabbits from being held for extended periods only for the sale to fall through. This policy also allows me to properly plan my rabbitry space for breeding purposes and continue providing quality care for all rabbits in my program. Holding fees do not count as payment toward the rabbit and are non-refundable. Holding fees are $5 per day! I will only hold rabbits for 7 days. 🔔If you have an emergency and need me to hold your rabbit for longer you will have to notify me within the 7 day holding period. The 7 day holding fees will need to be paid before a new date is set ($35) You will only have 1 emergency holding period(7 additional days) which will also require the daily holding fee. It’s very important that you plan to pickup your rabbit when it’s ready to avoid the additional fees.
Thank you for understanding and respecting my breeding program and policies.
