We work closely with Freedom Valley Quarter Horse Rescue to provide care, love, and peace for each horse we save.

Ok....as promised!
On August 12, I will be celebrating the big 65! I honestly don't feel it but dang....that's a lot of time on God's earth!
For my big day, I am asking all my friends and horse colleagues to help me by helping the herd. What a blessed present!
I posted our bills on the previous post.

Happy August family!
It's been a wet, hot summer so far. Here on the farm we have been busy filling the barns with hay for winter, making lists of fall projects, and doing our best to keep the horses healthy.
Last week, Skye, our gorgeous apple, came in with a droppy lip. After a few days of anti- inflammatory meds, we called in the vet. It seems she had palsy on one side, most likely from an injury months side of the face, bowl, or pole.
There is no cut, abscess, or swelling....
Just sad droop :(
But, she is eating, drinking, and browsing so we are hopeful for healing with the steroid and some time.

☆We will be posting our birthday fundraiser later today and ask that if you can, please help us help the herd.
We have a vet bill over $1,000, and hay bill of $1,500, and repairs and clearing scheduled for the fall totaling more that $2,500.

It has been a while since we have posted! Between winter coat removal, tornadoes, days and days and days of rain (which means days of mud!), and assorted other trials, we certainly have been busy!
Things are a bit calmer now and we are settling in to Spring, warmer temps, and green grass.
Everyone came through winter well and the "green" is helping to fatten them up!
If you are in the area, feel free to reach out, come by, and say hi. The peace that exists in our pastures is amazing❣️
