Nera (aka Nera du Cadre Noir) is already looking up to her big brother, Marty. Corey (aka Nevan du Cadre Noir) is already learning one of the most important skills he'll ever know—reliable recall.

Every time he hears "Corey!" and happily comes running, he's building trust, confidence, and a lifelong habit of checking in with his family Cathy Rehn Vella. Recall isn't just about obedience—it's about keeping our dogs safe while strengthening the bond between dog and owner.

At this age, training is kept fun, positive, and full of praise. Short sessions, happy voices, and lots of rewards help Corey discover that coming when called is the best game of all!

🖤🏡 Going Home Day!

Today we said goodbye to Cadre Noir's "Nera du Cadre Noir" as she began her exciting new adventure with Joseph Getts.

While every goodbye is bittersweet, there is nothing more rewarding than watching one of our puppies leave the kennel to begin a lifetime of love with their forever family.

Nera is heading to her new home in the beautiful state of New Hampshire, where many exciting adventures await. We know she will be deeply loved, well cared for, and treasured as an important member of Joseph's family.

Some puppies stay close to home, while others travel many miles to begin their next chapter. No matter the distance, each one carries a little piece of Cadre Noir Belgians with them, and we are honored to be part of their journey.

We look forward to watching Nera grow and can't wait to share updates along the way. Welcome to the Cadre Noir Belgians family!

🖤🐾 A Cadre Noir Reunion!

There's something special about bringing a Cadre Noir puppy home... and it's even more special when they're welcomed by another member of the Cadre Noir family.

Night is having a wonderful time with his "big brother," Zorro (aka Tornado du Cadre Noir), from our 2015 litter. Watching these two together is a reminder that the Cadre Noir family extends far beyond puppyhood. From playful wrestling matches to lifelong companionship, these moments are what every breeder hopes for.

Susan Sakwa is a valued repeat Cadre Noir adopter, and we're grateful for the love and lifelong home she continues to provide our dogs. Nothing makes us happier than seeing our puppies thrive and knowing they're part of families who cherish them through every stage of life.

🖤 First Adventures with Night du Cadre Noir 🖤

Every outing is a learning experience for a young puppy!

Today, Night (Night du Cadre Noir) headed to Lowe's with his new mom, Susan Sakwa, for one of his first socialization adventures.

While Susan isn't pictured, Night had the opportunity to meet a friendly Lowe's customer who stopped to say hello.

These positive interactions are an important part of raising a confident, well-adjusted puppy. From meeting new people and hearing unfamiliar sounds to seeing shopping carts, forklifts, and busy aisles, every experience helps teach a puppy that the world is a safe and exciting place.

At Cadre Noir Belgians, we begin the socialization process before our puppies leave for their new homes, and we're grateful when our puppy families continue building on that foundation.

Thank you, Susan, for giving Night these wonderful opportunities to learn and grow. We can't wait to watch all of his new adventures!
