🛑 DON’T GET SCAMMED: How to Spot a Fake Puppy Post 🐶

​We love our dogs, but unfortunately, scammers know this and prey on it and the more desperate you are the easier it is to be scammed. If you’re looking for a new furry family member, please read these 5 Red Flags! 🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩

🚩​1. The Video Chat Test 📱
​Always ask to FaceTime or video call. Scammers will not be willing and do not have adult dogs or puppies and cannot show them to you in real-time. This is the fastest way to w**d out a fraud.

🚩​2. Language & "Buzzwords" 🚩
​Watch out for broken English or phrases like "Available for adoption" or "For rehoming" inside a kennel name. Reputable breeders don't use that terminology in their business titles.

🚩​3. The "Too Good to Be True" Price 💸
​If someone is offering a female dapple puppy for $700, you aren't getting a puppy—you're getting scammed. Quality breeding involves high costs and lots of hard work; a price that low is a massive red flag. Quality breeders dont actually make back what they put into their puppies.

🚩​4. Shipping & Delivery Scams 🚚
​Be wary of "breeders" who:
• ​Immediately ask where you live (then "coincidentally" live there too).
• ​Promise delivery is included in a cheap purchase price or tell you anything you want to hear about getting the puppy to you.
• ​Ask for a deposit repeatedly while trying to avoid questions or conversations about themselves or you.

🚩​5. Gift Cards = SCAM 💳
​Never send gift cards. No legitimate breeder accepts Apple, Google Play, Visa gift cards or any other gift cards as a deposit. Period.

Please be careful!! I am always available to answer questions and if I dont have what youre looking for (I only have a couple litters a year) I have lots of connections with reputable breeders that I can refer you to! I am happy to help you find the right puppy and not get scammed.

Lilo had her ultrasound!! We have a beautiful litter of puppies coming❤️ we will find out how many the end of next week when we do her xrays!! We are so excited for these babies!

👉I here it all the time: “I want a female because they’re calmer.” After training 500+ puppies, I’ve found the opposite. Males consistently calmer, more eager to please, practically velcroed to your side. Females more independent, less needy for constant attention.

➡️➡️Plot twist: females ARE more emotionally sophisticated. When your stress hormones rise, female dogs’ cortisol follows faster and higher than males. They’re not calmer they’re MORE attuned. Reading your emotional state constantly, mirroring your nervous system more intensely.

👉This explains why some female puppies seem “reactive” they’re not. They’re hyper aware. Picking up on owner’s anxiety about socialization and amplifying it. Meanwhile male puppy oblivious, just happy to be here.
I’ve watched this play out hundreds of times: Anxious owner gets female puppy, puppy becomes anxious. Same owner gets male puppy, puppy stays steady. Not because males are “better” because they’re less emotionally contagious. Female dogs feel everything you’re feeling, males more buffered from your emotional state.
Royal Society study confirmed females show greater obedience, but here’s what study didn’t measure: emotional cost. Females working harder to read you, please you, predict you. Males just doing the thing because it’s fun.
