No apologies for this long post.
To say that Pint was a once in a lifetime dog is an understatement. This dog taught me so much and brought so many great people into my life.
Pint was a true Colby dog thru and thru, he loved his people and his pack... anything else - not so much.
To our dog show family who constantly showed up for us, clearing our path whether it was conformation or sports, having our leash ready, helping him course (the catch crew) - he took a village and we thank you.
From the exhibitors who became friends, who gave him space, let him go first and had his back in the ring, we thank you.
For the white fluffy dogs out there, Pint has no apologies LOL he kept you all on toes in the ring!!
For the judges who gave him grace, patience, and gave me encouraging words and advice - we both thank you!
To the trainers who saw the best in him, never gave up on him and helped him get reinstated, we both thank you.
Inside the ring and on the track he was a force to be reckoned with, so many titles, Total Dogs, Most Weight Pull, Best & Reserve Best in shows. He only showed twice in his first year and earned his Championship at 6 moths old, he was in the Top Ten every year after that where he competed. Skipping 2020 due to Covid. He loved to pull and earned a Total Dog with his very first pull.
He chose his own retirement from conformation in 2022 in high fashion at Premier, never a dull moment with Pint around...
In total he earned 26 conformation and sporting titles. He loved rally and obedience, but couldn't contain himself to compete so we played with it in conformation to keep him busy.
Outside the ring he was the most loyal dog and an amazing pack leader, all he had to do was give the look and everyone fell into line.
He was intense with everything he did, he loved his ball, belly scratches and hikes along the cranberry bogs.... where he could just be Pint.
He will live on thru his offspring, I am so blessed to watch them mature.
Here is a photographic journal of Pint, thank you to all who helped make and capture these amazing memories.
Feel free to share you memories of Pint below... one picture I just can't find is him airborne at a show in Westfield....I will add if I find it - it is the perfect picture of Pint and who he was.
I have no words for how much I miss you already Handsome, Mr. Pint, Pppint!! Tonight we will toast to your life and memory with a Pint of Guinness Stout!
