Please welcome Luna to the Klipz n' Sitz family! I am posting her because sometimes a dog's trauma prior to finding their 'furever' home is too great that the best thing I can do is not trim them and discuss other options with the pet's owner. Luna IS an absolute sweetheart and even acted like she wanted to jump in my car when I pulled in driveway and opened my door. Even after taking time to be introduced by her pet parent and letting her sniff me and my equipment bag, she wanted ABSOLUTELY no part in having her nails trimmed. I was able to do just one nail BUT....that one nail got her LOTS of PRAISE, PETS AND TREATS. I also told her I am sorry for whoever may have caused you that much harm. Her owner was also fabulous to meet, understanding and open to possible ideas that will help Luna with keeping her nails nice while also taking into consideration her unknown past. I don't expect miracles and to be able to trim every pet when an owner calls. Each one has their own personality. Each has their own good/bad experiences with human interactions whether rescued or raised from a puppy. I just wish I could be more Dr. Doolittle and be able to tell them that I mean absolutely no harm. I can only hope that pet owners realize it is not always the nail trimmer's 'fault'. I appreciate every customer entrusting me to try and make sure their pet has healthy length nails. I also am thankful to the animals who let humans know that they might need other options to better suit them. I hope one day pets like these can eventually trust someone enough to do whatever should need done for their health. Luna is just one of many in the world that need extra patience and love.
