Patch is a young hound mix who came to the shelter on the very-skinny-side. He has been gaining weight, but will likely remain a more petite sized hound. He’s sweet, quiet, and a bit unsure with people at first, so he’ll need an adult home that will let him settle in without rushing him.
But put Patch with another dog and everything changes.
He lights up around his canine friends. His confidence starts to grow, and you get a glimpse of the happier, more relaxed dog waiting underneath all that uncertainty.
A confident dog in the home could be a huge help for Patch, and a fenced yard would give him a safe place to explore at his own pace.
Patch may not be the dog who throws himself into your arms on day one.
But for someone willing to earn his trust, watching him come out of his shell could be something really special.
If Patch sounds like the pooch for you, come meet him at the Animal Orphanage soon.
