Sometimes pet sitting comes with emergencies! Hoot had a wound on his leg that needed caring for while his owners were out of town. I met with the vet and learned so much! Hoot needed stall rest, meds, cold hose rinse for 15 minutes twice a day, and ointment. He was the absolute best boy and did so well and got lots of cookies!! The last two pictures are pictures of his wound: the first day I had him vs the last.

This National Dog Day we want to give a shoutout to RAWL in Rappahannock County. They are working to rescue dogs, provide them with shelter, food, and medical care, and find them their forever homes. Their mission is to give every dog a chance to live a happy and healthy life.
Post pictures of your dogs in the comments!

This beautiful girl is still available at RAWL. I started working there this past February and she was already there when I started.

Annie is great with kids, dogs, and cats. She is scared of loud noises outside so she would prefer a quiet environment and a fenced yard to feel secure.

Once she gets to know you, her personality comes out and she is the sweetest, goofiest, loyal girl.
