We are very excited about our new location opening in the Virginia Beach area this August! I would like to share a little bit about us and invite you to our job fair event on June 10th, 2022 in partnership with Tidewater Community College!

Southeast Veterinary Neurology (SEVN) exists to keep families together by giving second chances to pets and hope to the people who love them. We deal exclusively with neurologic diseases (diseases of the brain and spinal cord) and are one of the United States’ largest independently owned neurology groups. Throughout the years, we opened up Boynton Beach and Jupiter as well and we continue to grow and have a wonderful team of doctors, nurses, and support staff that grow with the company as well!

Let me tell you a little about me as well. I’m Mayra (clinical recruiter for SEVN) and I have been with SEVN since 2012 and have seen tremendous growth over the last 10 years from a small 5 technician/1 doctor practice working out of a small ER to now having 30 nurses and 5 doctors in our Miami location alone that opened up its new facility doors in 2015!

We are filling positions for our grand opening set for August 2022! This will be our first location outside of our home state of Florida and are looking for talented individuals to join our team! I would like to invite you to our SEVN Job Fair event on Friday, June 10th, 2022 hosted by Tidewater Community College Veterinary Technology Program. Our clinic will be staffed with nurses 24 hours and will have its own in-hospital MRI. We are looking for clinical staff for days and nights along with surgical technicians that will be trained to run the MRI as well.

To me, recruitment is more than just finding the people to fill our clinic nursing positions, I take pride in finding the RIGHT people looking to expand their career path in specialty medicine, specifically veterinary neurology! I feel that my background as a CVT and joining SEVN in 2012 knowing nothing about neurology allows me to bring comfort to candidates that may be nervous to apply and also allows me to have insight on hiring needs, addressing gaps in our clinical staff, and finding solutions to keep a healthy work/life balance for our clinical team by bringing in the right people!
Overall I enjoy recruiting and bringing growth to fellow veterinary nurses while building a world-class team of nurses for SEVN in all our locations!

Jovani and Mayra, two of our senior Veterinary technicians, hosted a three-day lecture series for the Miami Dade College Veterinary Technology senior students this week! We were happy to host such an event and share what we do here at SEVN with all of them. Our goal is to inspire the growing veterinary technology graduates to pursue the many specialties that offers, including Neurology. Thanks for spending the day with us!
