MAINTENANCE💉

Is your horse blowing off the barrel? Hopping around the pocket and struggling to power out? How about stopping on their front end when they normally drag 11’s all day long. Is your horse acting off when trotting or loping? When is the last time you had X rays pulled?

These are all important questions to ask yourself if you notice a change in your horse. Both of these horses were due for hock injections✅ After a couple of days to recover and rest they will be back to work💪🏼 Thankful for such a good vet clinic that takes care of my horses to the best of their abilities.

Ozzie was bottom of the 1D today with 0.5 seconds between his time and what placed 1st. Every ride on this gelding is a blessing. He’s tries his best every run and at the end of the day that is all anyone can ask for !

First run of the year for this boy! We need to work on getting past the barrels a little smoother but I love how gritty and ratey this gelding wants to be. It’s hard to believe that a year ago he came to me as a 4yo who struggled picking up leads and was not started in anything but look at him now! Cant wait to see what 2026 has in store for him 🤍

Everyone is bedded down and ready for the cold snap🥶 Oz man is not impressed to be the baby sitter but I’m sure he’s glad to be in the barn! In times like these make sure your horses have access to forage 24/7 and water. On top of having alfalfa round bales we flake out grass bales as well for the horses to pick through and bed on when temps drop and the wind chill is way in the negatives. Yes some of that hay will get wasted but it’s worth it to have healthy horses.

*A good reminder that horses eat to stay warm! Yes the blanket you have on them will help but make sure they have feed in front of them at all times*

A little over 4 months left for this gal! That baby bump is just starting to show! Super excited for this cross, 𝑭𝑹 𝑳𝒆𝒐𝒔 𝑳𝒖𝒄𝒌 x 𝑺𝑷 𝑹𝒐𝒚𝒂𝒍 𝑫𝒂𝒔𝒉. This APHA foal has some amazing lineage such as Fire Water Flint, First Down Dash, Special Effort, Slide By Leo and Leo!
