At Sunset Goldens, we don’t worry about having a smaller puppy in the litter—and this is exactly why! ❤️ (well we worry the first two weeks to help them)

This handsome boy was the runt of his litter. Just look at him now! 😍 Gorgeous, thriving, and absolutely stunning!

Being the smallest puppy at the beginning does not determine how big, beautiful, or healthy they’ll be as an adult. Puppies grow at different rates, and that little one who starts out smaller can certainly catch up and blossom into an incredible adult.

After decades of raising Golden Retrievers, we’ve seen it time and time again. ❤️

Small puppy today does not mean small adult tomorrow!

Important Info about AKC Registration and Microchipping

-AKC Registration: All puppies in a litter are registered with the AKC as a litter. After purchasing a puppy, you have the option to go online, and complete the registration process, putting the puppy in your name and selecting an official name for your puppy. Right now, the cost is $45. Your puppies Microchip # will be registered with your AKC pup. AKC offers a 30 day "free" dog insurance with your registration. AKC also offers a first vet visit for "free" with your registration. We are unsure what the catch is, but it might be worth looking into.

-Microchip: All puppies come already microchipped. YOU HAVE TO REGISTER THEM. It costs $50 to register your pup to you. There is a multitude of different extras you can chose to use or not.
