We are super proud to announce that we have been selected by 100 Women Who Care North Suburban Chicago to receive a $500 donation to support our efforts!

Rescue work is filled with moments of heartbreak, hope, challenges, and incredible transformations. Every day, we strive to give dogs who have been overlooked, neglected, or abandoned a second chance at the happy, loving lives they deserve. Their generosity helps make that possible.

Every dollar makes a difference in the lives of the dogs who come through our doors, helping us provide the care, comfort, and support they need while they wait for their forever families. Behind every rescued dog is a story, and the kindness of our supporters helps us write a better ending.

We are so grateful this wonderful group of women chose to support our mission and believe in the work we do. It is a beautiful reminder that there are people in our community who care deeply about making a difference for animals who cannot speak for themselves.

Uh-oh... another foster family has fallen victim to the classic rescue phenomenon known as a Foster Fail! 😍
Our big, lovable sweetheart Gigi worked her magic, and her foster family simply couldn't imagine life without her. So they did the only reasonable thing... they adopted her! ❤️🎉
Congratulations to Gigi and her wonderful family! Thank you for giving this sweet girl the forever home she deserves. We love happy endings like this!

Meet Max! 🐾

Max is a 9-month-old pup who desperately needs a foster home where he can finally learn what it means to have structure, guidance, and stability.

This energetic young guy has had very little direction in his life so far, and he is still learning how to navigate the world. He has a LOT of energy, curiosity, and puppy enthusiasm, so he needs someone who is willing to be patient, consistent, and committed to helping him become the best dog he can be.

His ideal foster home will be pet-free so he can have his person’s full attention and a calm, structured environment to learn in. He’s kinda mouthy right now so no young children. He needs someone who understands that he isn't a “bad dog” — he's a young dog who simply hasn't been given the boundaries, routine, and guidance he needs.

With consistency, exercise, patience, and positive training, Max has so much potential. He needs someone who will give him the time and structure to learn, decompress, and grow into the wonderful companion he is capable of becoming.

If you love to teach and are willing to provide structure, patience, and guidance, Max would love the chance to show you what he can become.

UPDATE: Due to illness of two of our personal dogs, Bombshell Bullies will not be in attendance at Roo Fest today. 😔 But please still go check out all the other awesome rescues and vendors that will be there! And donate to Live Like Roo! They help fund medical bills of dogs with cancer and do amazing work! ❤️🐾
