Here is the update on Guinea 💙

I am so excited to share some hopeful news!

Since I hadn’t heard back yesterday, I called MedVet today and was able to speak directly with the cardiologist. She was incredibly kind and took the time to discuss Guinea’s case with me.

The best news? She believes that as long as the narrowing of his valve is not too severe, Guinea could be a candidate for a procedure to help him! We know there are still no guarantees, but this is the most hopeful news we’ve received so far.

She even squeezed Guinea into her schedule on the 23rd and opened up an appointment just for him. He will have another limited echocardiogram, which will also help keep the cost down.

We still have a journey ahead of us, but today brought a much-needed dose of hope. We are feeling incredibly grateful and blessed for this opportunity and for everyone who has been supporting, praying, and cheering Guinea on.

Please keep Guinea in your thoughts as we wait for his appointment on the 23rd. ❤️🐾

Update on Frank ❤️

He is still with us and we are so grateful for his finder. He definitely let everyone know that he was not interested in cooperating at the emergency vet last night thank goodness his finder was able to cut his front nails. Frank was trying to bite, so we brought him to our regular veterinarian this morning to try again.

Unfortunately, Frank made it very clear there, too, that he did not want to be touched. He was snarling and showing his teeth whenever anyone got too close. Given everything he has been through, we can’t say we blame him.

For now, our veterinarian has advised us to feed him small meals multiple times a day along with electrolytes to help support his recovery. The good news is that Frank has been gobbling up his food and is already showing small signs of progress. He has started approaching his foster mom to sniff her, and today she was even able to pet him once while he was eating.

He is not microchipped and we are still looking for an owner despite his condition. You never know what may have happened.

Frank has been through so much, and we know he doesn’t feel well. Right now, our focus is on moving slowly, earning his trust, and allowing him to heal at his own pace. Every tiny step forward is a victory.

Please continue to keep Frank in your thoughts as he recovers. He is scheduled to return to the vet on Friday, and we’ll share more updates as we learn more.

Rescue never ends and takes teamwork. There are no start times, no finish times, and no set hours in animal rescue.

We received a call about this sweet soul, and he is currently on his way to the emergency veterinarian, because a foster said yes, because a transporter said yes! His toenails have grown so severely that they have curled and embedded into his paw pads, causing significant pain and discomfort.

We don’t know his full story yet, but we do know he needs help right now.

If you are able, please consider donating toward his emergency medical care. Every dollar helps us provide the treatment he desperately needs.

Most importantly, please keep him in your thoughts and prayers as we wait to learn more. We are hoping it is not too late for him and that he can finally get the care, comfort, and love he deserves.

🐾 Furry Friday Welcome! 🐾

Please help us welcome this handsome senior boy! ❤️ He was surrendered through no fault of his own and is already showing us what a sweetheart he is.

We’re getting to know his personality, likes, and quirks, but we can already tell he’s a very special boy. Stay tuned for updates as he settles into rescue life and begins his next chapter. 🐶✨
