This is just a cute picture for attention. If you are in a puppy class or Home Companion, remember that tonight is orientation. Please bring your vet records and money to pay if you didn't pay online. Please leave your dogs home tonight. We'll be doing short demonstrations and you'll meet with your teachers. Doors are open at 6 and we start promptly at 6:30. Looking forward to seeing everyone! 🐾💕🐾

Orientation for puppy and home companion classes is Thursday, September 10, 2026, at 6:30 p.m.

Thank you for enrolling in classes this session. Please make payment before the start of class at the link provided in your email confirming your enrollment.

Handlers enrolling in a puppy class or home companion should not bring their dog to orientation. At orientation you will receive your first homework assignment and meet your instructors. Orientation is held the same night for all sections regardless of which night your class will normally meet.

Please bring proof of shot records to orientation.

Handlers enrolling in all other classes should bring their dog to the first class.


Directions to Dog Training Club: Go North on Rt 45 out of Urbana and from I-74 it is 2.7 miles to Ford Harris rd, turn right on Ford Harris and the club is .2 mile on the left side of the rd.

A big congrats to the Canine Good Citizen (CGC) Urban graduates from this summer’s class.

AKC Urban CGC requires that the dog demonstrate CGC skills and beyond in a setting that includes traffic, crowds, noises, smells and other distractions that are present in a city or town. As with Canine Good Citizen, AKC Urban CGC is a 10-step test of skills that dogs must pass to earn the official AKC Urban CGC title. This is a title that appears on the dog’s title record at AKC.

AKC Urban CGC is a public access test that demonstrates dogs are well-behaved and well-trained when in public settings.
