Another rescue who is desperately searching for a foster for a “safe” dog so that they can pull one (or more) of the 27 urgent dogs! GRACE sounds like she’ll keep you smiling and laughing, a big personality in a tiny package! Contact Brave Babes Animal Rescue to foster or adopt!

🎉🐾 ALL SAFE!!! 🐾🎉

It’s been a whirlwind of a day — heck, a whirlwind of a week! There have been tears, bitten nails, late nights, and moments when this felt almost impossible.

But through it all, we held onto hope and faith that the wonderful people in this community would step up for these dogs.

And you did. Every single one is SAFE. ❤️

We truly cannot thank everyone enough — the adopters, fosters, rescues, volunteers, pledgers, sharers, commenters, and everyone who refused to give up on them.

Take the victory lap. Celebrate this one. You earned it. 🥹🙌🐾

And then… we get right back to work for the next list. ❤️

PS: We will keep an eye on Winston, who sadly is in the sick room. Hopefully he feels better and is fostered or adopted before he becomes urgent again.

🗓️ 2 years old ♂️ Male ⚖️ 60 lbs

💕 Meet Scooby 💕

Oh my gosh, this boy is the sweetest and so stinking handsome! 😍 He has that big, square-headed, staffy look, and his coat is absolutely brilliant—deep, shiny black with just a little bit of white on the tip of his tail and his toes.

Scooby doesn’t seem to know a whole lot of commands, but honestly, he doesn’t need to. He is just naturally easy, calm, and gentle. He was wonderful to walk, and even when he saw another dog he was interested in, he didn’t pull at all.

He’s treat motivated and takes treats so gently. He absolutely loves pets and is just an all-around lovely boy.

If I were looking for a dog, Scooby would absolutely be coming home with me. ❤️

This boy deserves someone to see what I see in him. 🐾

Another volunteer added that Scooby is finally coming out of his shell and finding his voice! ❤️

Please don’t let a shelter kennel be the place where Scooby’s story ends. ❤️

💕 Meet Jewels — A Pretty Little Brindle Girl With an Easygoing Personality 💕

Jewels is a sweet, compact girl with a playful side and an easygoing personality. Volunteers describe her as dog friendly, super friendly in playgroup, and a tiny sweet thing. She can be playful, takes correction well, and seems to enjoy being around both people and dogs. ❤️

She is also very easy to manage on leash and doesn’t pull hard, which makes walks with her a pleasure. During one outing, Jewels took a very long p*e break and had three poops outside, so her volunteer thought she may already have some house-training experience. 🥰

Because it was so hot, playtime was kept short, but Jewels was happy to explore and was not picky about treats. She even enjoys a little tug-of-war — although apparently she is generous enough to let her human win. 😂

Jewels sounds like one of those dogs who is easy to spend time with: sweet, manageable, playful without being overwhelming, and happy to enjoy whatever is happening around her.

At just 39 pounds, she’s also a nice, manageable size. If you’re looking for a friendly girl with a soft personality and a little playful spark, please come meet Jewels.

We have a new urgent list and Perfectly Paired Pitties - P3 is closed for intake until they find a spot for BRUNO. He needs an only pet, no kiddo foster home, which don't exactly grow on trees - but he's a loving, loyal guy who is absolutely worth it. Winston is on a little adventure—and he’s here for the sniffs! 👃🐾

This guy went potty right away (and several more times) and was much more interested in exploring his surroundings than toys, treats, or even his human companion. And honestly? That’s perfectly okay. It was Winston’s walk, and he was determined to take in all the sights and smells! 🥰

💕 Independent Explorer:

Winston wasn’t interested in food during his test, either, so treats definitely weren’t going to distract him from his important exploring duties. 😂

Maybe Winston is the kind of dog who doesn’t need to be the center of attention—he just wants a good walk, plenty of new smells, and a chance to experience the world at his own pace. 🐾🌿

🐶 Other Dogs:

Winston has met another dog and was very interested and forward. He would need a tolerant dog and chill dog that accept he doesn't always have manners.

Winston met Tyrone and had a nice, polite greeting, although Tyrone wasn’t overly interested in making a new bestie. Winston took it all in stride. ❤️

🧠 Ready to Blossom:

Winston may simply need some time away from the loud, stressful shelter environment to relax and show us more of who he is.

Or maybe he just needs to get out of the shelter and find a home so he can blossom. 🥹❤️

🏡 The Right Fit:

If you’re looking for a laid-back companion who enjoys leisurely walks, sniffing everything along the way, and taking life at his own pace, Winston may be your guy. 🐾

Saving the best for last this evening...here's SCOOBY for our last post of the night. He is adored by volunteers - one said "If I were in the market for a dog, he'd be coming home with me". Volunteers have done multiple reels for him to help him get exposure. Yet he still remains overlooked. Is it because of his black coloring? I know black dog syndrome is real, but I hope there is someone out there looking for the underdog - because they will stumble upon a gem! Please come to the shelter to meet SCOOBY - he must leave by Wed 9/9 (be there by 6 PM)
