Being a cardiology-only practice, we don't see puppies very often — but when we do, everyone leaves with tails wagging! 🐕
Houston came to us from Bark n' Rolls Rockin' Rescue (), and Dr. Lange discovered he had a congenital heart defect known as a patent ductus arteriosus (PDA). Left uncorrected, a PDA can lead to congestive heart failure — but thankfully, that won't 🚫 be Houston's story.
He underwent a PDA occlusion, a procedure where a small device is placed across the defect to close the open vessel in his heart. Houston did great throughout the procedure and recovery, and was beyond excited to head home with his foster mom, Sam! ❤️

Who says cardiology visits can't be fun? 🩺💕 Scout proved that a few belly rubs, lots of cuddles, and a caring veterinary team can make a cardiology visit a tail-wagging experience!

Biscuit making is a serious profession! Quincy couldn't take time off to come to the cardiologist, so he brought his work with him. Don't hesitate to reach out to Coast to Coast Cardiology if you have a professional baker in need of a heart check!

Meet Simon 🐶 — a good reminder that while we celebrate the 4th of July, what's fun for us can be frightening for our furry friends.
-
Here's how you can help your pets through the noise:
✅ Keep pets indoors during fireworks
✅ Double-check ID tags & microchip info
✅ Set up a cozy, quiet safe space
✅ Vet-prescribed sedative? Give it before fireworks start, not after
✅ Never use human meds or leftover prescriptions without checking with your vet first
-
A little prep goes a long way in keeping tails wagging (not shaking) this holiday. 🐶🐱💕

This is Max. He's obsessed with treats, allergic to Mondays, and he is living with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM) — a common but often silent heart condition in cats. 🐱🧡
HCM affects 1 in 7 cats with little to no warning signs but regular vet visits and cardiac screenings can catch it early.
Max doesn't know he's an awareness ambassador, he just thinks he's cute (he's right.) 🐾
Ask your vet about cardiac screenings with Coast to Coast Cardiology — it could save a life as precious as his. 💛

Hedgehog just blew a nose bubble and honestly? That's his whole personality. 🫧🐶
Cavalier. Professional lap dog. Accidental comedy legend. Heart of gold — literally, we check it regularly. 💙
We don't deserve him.

We've heard of swinging into action — and that's exactly what we did. 🧐🩺 Coast to Coast Cardiology is proud to have volunteered at the Santa Barbara Zoo, providing a complete cardiac examination, doppler blood pressure measurement, electrocardiogram, and echocardiogram for one of their incredible resident Gibbons. It's a privilege to extend our expertise beyond the clinic and contribute to the wellbeing of wildlife.
