🐾❤️ Tai Chi & Little Man Are Having Some Fun! ❤️🐾
Tai Chi and Little Man were having some fun yesterday, and I absolutely loved watching them together. 🥰
Tai Chi can sometimes take a little time to warm up to other dogs, but with Little Man, he immediately clicked. Maybe he can sense that Little Man is missing his family. 💔 Or maybe they just understand each other in a way that we don’t.
Whatever the reason, I love watching these two play. And something really stood out to me—Tai Chi is much gentler with Little Man than he is with some of the other dogs. It’s absolutely adorable. ❤️
Now, about our boy Tai Chi…
He has had quite a few inquiries, but so far, no one has taken that final step to adopt him.
And I honestly think I know why.
When people come to meet Tai Chi, he is often completely unimpressed by them. 😂 He’s aloof. He isn’t interested in making friends with the humans who have come to meet him. He’s much more interested in the smells around him and whatever else is happening in his environment.
And I understand how that can be disappointing when you’re hoping a dog will run up to you, give you kisses and immediately fall in love.
But that’s just not Tai Chi.
He’s a dog who needs you to give him time.
He isn’t going to audition for you in the first five minutes. He isn’t going to desperately seek your attention. He may barely acknowledge you.
But that doesn’t mean he doesn’t have a huge personality or a whole lot of love to give.
Sometimes the dogs who don’t immediately choose you are the ones who become the most special once they finally do. ❤️
Tai Chi just needs someone who is willing to look beyond that first impression and give him the opportunity to show you who he really is.
And watching him with Little Man yesterday was just another reminder that there is so much more to this boy than what you see when you first meet him. 🐾❤️
Tai Chi is still waiting for his forever family.
Maybe his person is out there… they just need to be patient enough to let Tai Chi discover them. ❤️ found him. Sniffing the grass and the trees. But the truth is it’s once he’s inside. All he wants to do is be with his person. I wish people could see this about him. I don’t know why people think that there should always be some sort of instant connection. The connection will come. They don’t understand that tai chi has been in four different homes. Who could blame him for being aloof. I know this, his next home will have to be his permanent home the last two people that came asked basically if they could test drive him after hearing that he had been in four homes. What did they not understand? Apparently they did not understand the assignment.
